Infinity370: 1970?! Jesus Christ.I only hope this will start another Space Race. Otherwise NASA will only continue to receive more and more budget cuts.
Migrating Coconut: Of course.... feed is blocked at work. If anyone has others please post. Or just provide updates if you're able. Thanks.

Shadowknight: something that brought so much return on investment not to mention National pride is so disregarded these days.
post0089: Apparently, 1) They copied the 1960s/1970s NASA command center, including clothes and hardware/software. 2) The main timer has a problem with smooth second over second transition. It is skipping seconds, goes fast to catch up, slows down, etc. lolOh, and they just said they avoid kicking up dust and that it is very different than the apollo landing gear. No shiat or at least I hope so.This looks like the chinese are filming Apollo 13
Quantum Apostrophe: Shadowknight: something that brought so much return on investment not to mention National pride is so disregarded these days.1) Horsecrap2) You were just pissed that the Russians beat you every other time. Where is THEIR "return on investment"? You see any?
fisker: [i.imgur.com image 850x633]Is this supposed to be some kind of a sick joke?
GungFu: Female Correspondent in the studio keeps mentioning the probe as a 'rabbit'.Must be a Chinese thang.
Shadowknight: I meant space research in general. Everything from thermal gear to computers to knowledge of our universe has advanced thanks to NASA and the space race.
Quantum Apostrophe: Shadowknight: I meant space research in general. Everything from thermal gear to computers to knowledge of our universe has advanced thanks to NASA and the space race.OK. Let's say you're right. What was the important part that needed to be done in space? Could you just take the money and give it directly to people and not actually go into space?Because all NASA did was redistribute wealth socialism-style to various private companies to develop things that already existed. And computers? You're kidding, right? Half the planet was already well on the way to being computerized by then ANYWAYS.And our knowledge of the universe advanced just fine before anyone ever strapped themselves into a tin can to go 0.1 Earth radii up for 90 minutes.Do you remember the 19th century Mars missions? Or the manned Sun missions to find helium in its atmosphere? So why the hard-on for the ridiculous notion of manned space "exploration"? How does putting a monkey in a rubber suit 250 miles up somehow explore space better than sitting at a computer chair???Just admit it's about dick waving and the dream that you want to go on a giant roller coaster ride. If only people were honest about that you'd never hear from me again.New rule: You can lie to yourself, just stop lying to me.
