Each CD will be packaged in a replica of the original LP art and inner sleeves. The box set will also include a 64-page booklet, and all of the albums aside from Hey Jude and The Beatles' Story will come in mono and stereo. Each of the CDs (aside from The Beatles' Story) will also be available for individual purchase for a limited time.

If you're going to release the original Beatles albums in a dying format, you might as well go with vinyl.

They might as well just find two guys that vaguely look like John and George so they can go on a international farewell tour.

I always wondered if Ed Sullivan were alive and only one of the Beetles remained if he'd come out and say: "Ladies and Gentleman: The Beetle!"

Just do some new material, guys. You can probably write up twelve basic rock jams in a weekend. They have this great technology now where you don't need all four guys playing in the studio live to record an album. You can lay down a piano track and then *gasp!* pick up a bass and play along to yourself.

Then you can tour with a multifaceted studio musician or two. The profits will be sky-high. I know at least one of you is hurting from egregious divorce settlements.

Thank God. It's been really hard finding Beetles albums at Sam Goody.

Plus there's Tupac-o-vision for the live shows.

I once had Paul McCartney pull up next to me (well, his driver pulled him up next to me) while I was standing in line at a Game of Thrones thing in NYC to ask what the hell we were all standing in line for.

Judging by the reactions of everyone when they realized it was Paul McCartney, I'm thinking he could make money even faster by walking the streets and charging people to look at him.

I'd buy this if they included all that bootleggy stuff that turned up in the "Anthology" series. I really don't understand why that material's never been released on its own.

I Like Bread:  I know at least one of you is hurting from egregious divorce settlements.

Yes, I read somewhere that Sir Paul is down to his last 25 billion. He'd better get on the stick and make some money -- and soon.

Okay I'll take the bait. Yes you are. Absolutely NO other reason for you to come into a Beatles thread and say it. True or not doesn't matter. You said it to get your jollys by stirring people up. Definition of "trolling".

And that's just from people paying NOT to hear it.

He makes a little less in actual royalties.

He makes at least $1 million a year because he owns the rights to "Happy Birthday to You" (He didn't write it, he bought them in the 70s).

He has "fark you" money

That abortion of a song gets me all kinds of stabby. Just because you got a new synth doesn't mean you have to play it as annoyingly as possible and commit it to tape.

He was stoned at the time.  I mean like super high.  Listen to the intro to "Too Many People" (http://youtu.be/0P_HKQGq730) and if you didn't know better, you'd think it was a Ween song.

It's nice when you can figure out your paternity isn't in doubt.

Not so much when the entire planet gets to have an opinion on the subject.

/CSB: I met Julian Lennon in a Welsh village pub on my 20th birthday. He was a sullen teen and pre-fame. I got drunk and fell in a small river. That is all.
