That was done with editing?  "Strange mouths" aside, I'm astounded.

Stantz: the strange mouths are going to eat me

That was really good until they started talking and then I got  really creeped out.

I fell into the Uncanny Valley and almost didn't climb out again.

Seriously, though, the problem with this mashup idea is that the BBC Sherlock from Sherlock  exists in a world where the Sherlock Holmes stories were never written, where Sherlock Holmes of the past never existed as a fictional character. Doyle never wrote Holmes books. Maybe Doyle never even existed in Sherlock's universe. Either way, it's clear there's complete and total genre blindness in Sherlock.

Meanwhile, Sherlock Holmes (the original one) and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle have been referred to on Doctor Who, which means that the Sherlock from Sherlock can't exist in that universe.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Mind speaking English?

Yes yes, and time lords can only have 12 regenerations and everything in the doctor who universe is fixed cannon.

It's queerily impossible, but not for that reason. The doctor who earth/London has frequent and world-wide instances of fantastic phenomenon. Dalecks, and cyber men invasions and lizard people and the silence. These phenomenon do not exist in sherlock's world. It's arguable how they can possibly exist, even given the extent they are hidden by governments and the extent Sherlock is able to unravel secrets, without Sherlock being aware of them. And there is zero evidence he is.

I had a bit of trouble with the eyes of the actors not looking at each other.  Apart from that, it was an okay mash-up.

It would have been perfect if Watson had pulled out an electronic thumb and hitched a ride with them.

/He was Dent, all along!

After The Doctor picks up Sherlock, he can pop over the Heart of Gold for some tea and to grab Dent.

I like Elementary on CBS, and other Sherlock stuff that I can get.  The Jeremy Brett versions are great.  But I don't get Doctor Who any longer, woe is me (used to watch on PBS like 25 years ago).

That would be so cool to see. Fiction can always be rewritten or constructed as a different and parellel alternate story line.

Sherlock would constantly try to understand what's going on, be defiant, and annoying the Doctor trying to out-think and one-up him to the point the Doctor just gets pissed off and drops Sherlock back home in a huff.

It would be spectacular.

/Could see Sherlock embracing it, too--could go either way.
//Sherlock is actually The Face of Bo--the previous hint was Sherlock lying to annoy people.

All they would need to do is throw in a visit to the Enterprise and pick up Picard and my daughter's top three crushes would all be in one spot.

/I don't know if I'm raising her really, really right or really, really wrong.
