What's he gonna do? Keep operating on their kids and grandkids?

Though I have to say I'm not sure the after shot looks much better, just a less massive jaw.

You know what, I'm going to leave this here.

This man will end up murdering this woman. Just saying.

This is going to sound wicked mean, but I don't mean it that way, I'm truly just curious: is that just her genes or is that the result of something else (disease, disorder)?

Well, it doesn't sound like anyone else was lining up to marry her.

On the other hand, it better not become a habit for the doctor, else he'll end up with quite a large harem.

No one does that these days.

Plastic surgery is so prevalent in Korea that imperfections are fixed through surgery, so the ugly genes are never prevented from spreading. In a way it's like how the prevalence of eyeglasses has led to almost universal nearsightedness among the Japanese. Once you stop selecting out bad genes, they become prevalent.

Have you ever seen a pre-surgery Korean girl? Besides this woman in the article, I mean. They are, for the most part, physically unattractive. Luckily for them, Korean plastic surgery is readily available, so it's not a permanent disability for them. And the ugly genes keep their march on.

Here is an article of this same thing happening in another surgery-happy Asian country:

I dunno.  Her jaw is Big McLarge Huge and his chin is weak as hell.  Maybe it'll be a wash and the kids will look pretty normal.  You know, until they start injecting their faces with cooking oil.

Well...genes can do worse things than 'unattractive' to ya...and standards of beauty have been known to change, or even differ from culture to culture.
Now, if they were selecting for things like hemophilia, or Parkinson's, or Huntington's Chorea (all genetically carried), then I'd worry.
If it's a just a simple cosmetic repair, and everything else is good, then what's the big deal?

And to address near-sightedness in Japanese...having to wear glasses != 'not very bright'.
One of the most fiercely intelligent...and most fun to hang out with...men I know is a near-sighted Japanese native.
In fact, most of the Japanese exchange students with whom I went to college were spec-wearing exceedinly high-acheivers.
So there.

Probably false.

For this article it mostly looks like 'man' features got stuck to her.  Things that are attractive on men aren't usually attractive on women, so there's no selection pressure there to weed them out completely.

In other news: People are shallow and date only based on looks...

Which is a shame because people are missing out on dating all of the intelligent folks!

The man has dedicated his entire life to fixing physical imperfections. Are we supposed to be surprised that his criteria for a partner is based on looks? Different strokes and all.
