(Sports Illustrated)   Enough of 2013-14 has passed to name this season's NBA All-Atrocious Team, consisting of the five everyday starters who have dug their clubs into the biggest holes. "A secondary goal was to amass a fair share of bad contracts to deepen the pain"   (nba.si.com) divider line 16

Lulzy, but flawed...

"I'm fudging things slightly by shifting Jefferson from small forward to shooting guard, but doing so helps me get the absolute most out of this group and puts Jefferson into even more difficult spots defensively."

Using that logic, you could have a point guard play center.

There are plenty of bigger-name options that come to mind at this position. Rudy Gay, who was traded from Toronto to Sacramento this week, and Detroit's Josh Smith are two popular ones. Again, I don't want anyone capable of accidentally winning a game by himself.

Yeah I'm gonna need to see some real convincing evidence on that one.

Yeah to Kendrick Perkins. The OKC Thunder faithful will never stop clamoring about how much they want Nenad Krstic back.

Gosh, that Sam Presti sure is a fool. He WRECKED the Spurs organization and now he going to do the same to the Thunder.

Those 4 losses are all Perk's fault because he got a lot of technicals in 2008.

He actually shoots something like 55%~ during clutch time. I watched some Raptors game this season and that stat graphic will pop up sometimes.

Do you know what's atrocious in the NBA these days? It's the total lack of farking defense and BS officiating.
Also, espn's coverage of this sport makes me puke.

/so, I've quit following the game
//started turning the channel when ESPN goes basketball stupid.
///and cowherd sucks
////I feel a bit better, thanks

I don't think he's a starter quality player for this team because of his one or two positive attributes, but Hansbrough should come off the bench. It's where he'd do the most damage to this team.

Surprised it's not this:

1. Carmelo
2. Carmelo
3. Carmelo
4. Carmelo
5. Carmelo

From what I can tell from the coverage he is the root of all evil in the world and may have done something unspeakable to Jerry West and/or David Stern.

I had to go back 10 years on basketball reference to find a year where the league average defense was better than the league average this season.

Someone who shoots that much is bound to get lucky with a game winner at some point.

The officiating is BS (has been as long as I can remember) but you are also an idiot or a troll. I'm sure you'll be able to figure out why.

Don't the trolls usually say "Thug-ball" and "college basketball is better?"

Thug ball is a dead giveaway (unless the person is straight up racist), but the college basketball trope is held by a lot of people who should know better.

Like he said, he's stopped watching the NBA, so his opinion on how well teams are playing defense is worthless.

Tayshaun isn't good anymore, but based on the numbers in the article he's a net positive (+0.7) for his team based on Orating - Drating..  Using that metric, Rudy Gay is -9 and makes $12M MORE than Tayshaun this year.  The whole "Rudy Gay can win a game by himself" misconception is the entire reason Rudy Gay has an insanely high usage rate and is making $19M this season.  He definitely belongs on the list.

I think you also have to include Amar'e and Paul Pierce as honorable mentions.

If they made a movie about this and you put them all on one team they'd come together and win the championship.

They'd have to rally around an pitiable retard first, though.

Maybe they could cast Skip Bayless?
