It's no "injecting krokodil in the genitals", so...not impressed.

If you injure your pets to get drugs, damn, your ass should go to jail for a long ass time.

This shouldn't be a thread about legality of drugs but a thread about animal cruelty and what drugs can bring you to do.

And, guess what, I want drugs to be legalized (even heroin), but we have that convo every day.

2013-12-11 08:12:12 PM
Goddammit. There's no reason why I had to read that. Fark humans. Fark them in their stupid asses.

2013-12-11 08:16:23 PM
Hey, maybe we should let people abuse drugs if they want.

When our cat was ill (cancer) the vet prescribed morphine. After she passed away a co-worker tried to convince me to sell him the morphine. I didn't, obviously. We instead consulted the vet about proper disposal.

As an alcoholic there have been times when I really wanted a drink and couldn't get one for whatever reason. Even at my worst, if injuring a pet to get a drink was somehow an option, there's no way in farking hell I would have. fark these assholes.

Invent a frontline for humans that keeps away mosquitos and you could make billions and billions while helping to eradicate Malaria. Get on it!

I got a cat for the catnip hook up.

2013-12-11 08:28:47 PM
God damn it. People like this are one of the reasons I have gotten hesitation when asking new doctors for my monthly supply of (really low-dose) Vicodin. I mean, I still get the prescription, but the doctors are reluctant at first.

No, I'm not an addict. I just live in chronic pain...and hobble around with a cane.

It is my understanding that veterinary drugs can be the same as human drugs, both ingredients and manufacturing process, but sold at a cheaper price.

Back when you still smoked leaf (instead of feeding it to the deer) it was a good idea to have a cat around to make sure your dealer wasn't cutting your weed with catnip.  Ah, the good old days.

I'm getting a kick of this because my dog is currently on pain medication.  But instead me eating her pills; she and I are eating pie together on the couch.  Why?  Because we like pie and my wife is out for the evening.

People who do this are monsters.

If anyone is really out there doing that, I invite them to do a Paul Walker impersonation.

This smells of jenkum and the rotting flesh of the imaginary krocodil zombies sweeping the nation.

Jack Advent of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association said veterinarians haven't seen evidence of the problem

So it is something you've seen no evidence of but OMG anyway.

Your dog wants dilaudid.

This doesn't surprise me. However, I doubt it's very effective. Lower body weight and animals tend to (AFAIK) get less pain meds than humans, because they aren't such babies (technical term). Of course, the hardened addict is just going to injure more animals. The vet bills aren't going to be cheap though.

And has been said, anyone who would hurt an animals for a fix can EABOD and DIAF. That really goes without saying.

So let me ask you Doc, is it lupus?

I believe one of my dogs had to take phenobarbital for seizures, occasionally our vet would have my mother submit to a drug test during the vet visits.  He didn't suspect her of using the drugs, but it was good to have the clean drug tests on record in case the state ever came knocking.

The people who would injure a pet to "score" meds are also the people that make it next to impossible for me to get treatment for migraines in the ER when I really need it.

Tramadol is a common pain med from vets for dogs. Tramadol is good stuff - similar effects as opiods, but not classified as one for some reason I never figured out

FTFA: Lawmakers took a first step to deal with the issue Wednesday through language inserted in a bill toughening penalties for cruelty to "companion animals" such as dogs and cats and animals that live indoors.

Tougher penalties? That's sure to work. Why haven't we tried dealing with drug use that way before?

I'd never take dog drugs, but every once in I'll pop open a can of wet food for the two furbabies, and I'm not gonna lie, it smells pretty farkin good. I wouldn't have to be that hungry to try a can.

Human pain killers are cut with acetomycin. I don't know if animals can handle it, what with the risk of liver damage. So maybe doggie drugs are better.
/Wouldn't know. Apparently being an alcoholic interferes with pain killers working on me. Wrong receptors maybe.

Nope. Higher metabolism and different sensitivities...my dog was run over by a car, does 4ea 50mg tramadol a day (2 morn, 2eve). 1 50mg pill from same bottle is enough for me when I have bad pain, and I'm 5x her body weight

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is working with the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and state licensing boards to educate veterinarians about possible abuse by people who seek medications for dogs, cats and other pets...

Jack Advent of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association said veterinarians haven't seen evidence of the problem, but they're happy to proactively work with the attorney general on prevention efforts.

It really reminds me of this scene in South Park:
