Yeah. There must be, like, several Brazilian drivers on the road.

Awwww, what a nice kid. I hope his new buddy is going to be okay. I also hope the driver is dragged behind a car until dead.

He lives in Brazil. Playing in traffic is probably one of the safer things you can do.

Or a driver who had to swerve/stop suddenly to avoid hitting him. This is why they teach you in Driver's Ed classes not to try to stop or swerve if an animal darts out right in front of your car. It's sad if you run over someone's pet, but it's not worth risking your life or someone else's.

Or in the US like with my buddy who watched his dog get hit and killed and the biatch drive away, only to to have her come back hours later to get him to pay for damage to her car.

Happened where I used to live. Dumbass neighbor had his dogs off-leash. One runs into the street and a truck hits it at maybe 40 km/hr. Dog died and of course he had to pay to repair the truck, why wouldn't he be responsible for the bill?

That was my first thought, too.  It is generally dangerous to handle a dog if it is seriously injured.  They will bite at anyone, even family.

Amen to that one. I have a shiatzy that I found on the side of the road with a broken leg and banged-up eye. It took me 30 minutes to get him into my arms. I had to get him to come to me. He is now my bestest buddy and constant companion.

Not excusing her hit and run by any means, but why was the dog loose?

Cute, but pretty Darwin-y depending on how heavy the traffic is.

I am not sure about Brazil, but in a lot of countries it is the pedestrians who have to watch out for cars. You wonder on to traffic, a lot of cars arent going to stop.

Because the driver should be paying attention to where they're going, and if you can't be arsed to swerve and miss when only doing 25mph, then you don't belong on the road.

It's an owner's responsibility to keep their goddamned pets out of the road.

Maybe if you can't keep your dogs inside or leashed, ie under control, you shouldn't have them.

/anybody. Not specifically "you."

Because of course the dog is always just going to be standing still in the road. Dogs never do something like dart out five feet in front of you from behind a parked car. And of course there's always plenty of room to swerve, because cars never park on the street in residential areas and all roads are one-way so there's never any oncoming traffic in the other lane.

It's not as clear as the one I had saved on a computer years ago, but it had to do.

11 yr old boy rescues the dog.

Cops in similar circumstances shoot dogs.

Cops are cowardly killers.
