This decision has Agra-vated many around the world, and India's Gaya population looks to be out of Lucknow. If you Assam the BJ Party wins in the next election (they have the support of Manipur Indians), this will not be resolved soon as the BJP could Kerala less about gay rights. On the bright side, this law could Goa way in a few years.

/hope this wasn't too much of a Punjab

I dunno. I think most flamboyant homophobes still goes to Russia. An orange turban has nothing on those guys in white and blue striped shirts.

France laughs at your idea of "flamboyant" anti-gay protesters.

I expect them to break into a rousing rendition of "Come on Eileen" at any moment.

I expect them to break into a rousing rendition of that scene from Shortbus where there's an ass-eating gay threeway.

Dimensio: This ruling is perfectly reasoned and rational. By reinstating the ban on sodomy, the nation's highest court has taken a step toward re-affirming the righteousness of God's law. As such, God will begin taking steps toward re-affirming his blessings upon the nation, as he does with all nations that keep his laws and commandments. That nations that have patterned their laws after God's laws have endured is a matter of fact and history, and that nations that have defied God's laws, by allowing homosexuality, adultery, the boiling of a goat in its mother's milk, fornication and the worship of false idols, have always fallen is also a matter of fact and history. Study it out.

I imagine Republican Jesus hunched over a table poking at a calculator and talking to himself "Well, they aren't Christian but they do hate gays but they don't venerate Reagan but they do exploit their workers but..."

It's supposed to read STOP! GAY SEX! with a little arrow pointing to some dude's butt.

 Dear India,

I love your food but the way your culture sucks. You've got a caste system, you treat women like property, and your movies are filled with silly dancing. Time to get your act together. Sincerely, the rest of the world

Which is weird, because before the English occupation, the Hindu population of India did not even have categories of straight and gay, and the Muslim population considered gender to be defined more by marriage and social roles than by who was having sex with whom. A step backward for India would be to remove all mention of British "straight and gay" categories and to begin building temples and government buildings covered in orgies. Homophobia has no historical precedent in India before the English occupation. Homophobia is a kind of damage that colonialism, and gloablization, do to cultures.
