(NESN)   Don't you hate it when you are punting from your own end zone, and the wind is so strong it blows the ball backwards and you get a safety? I hate when that happens   (nesn.com) divider line 15

Call me crazy, but it seems like this kid is destined to be a Cleveland Brown.

Wow.  That's embarrassing all the way around.  You've got to feel bad for the kicker - I doubt there are many 7th graders who dream about competing for that coveted HS varsity punter position.

Or an Alouette (link from article). Bonus: I think I know what a one point "rouge" is now.

A combination of wind and shanking the crap out of the ball.

He's a JuCo football player.  So he's getting free tuition out of it.  Which isn't worth much.

Yeah, I think the backspin accounted for a LOT in regards to where that ball ended up...

Memory and Google-fu is failing me but it was a either Efren Herrera or Ruben Rodriguez had a negative yards punt once.

/old Seahawks fan will remember it like it was baked by Perreridge Farms

My google-fu is stronger than yours!  Ha-HA!

According to answers.com, Ruben Rodriguez had a -2 yard punt "in the late 80s" (they also note that Joe Theismann once had a 1-yard punt; it doesn't say whether this was before or after his leg snapped in half).  I wasn't able to find any complete game logs that far back, but I suspect it might have been November 22nd of 87, when he punted 4 times for a whopping 26.00-yard average.

Since the injury was career ending, I would guess, before?

I remember the negative punt the seahawks had..It was Rick Tuten.. If I remember correctly he was injured in like the previous game and the replacement punter was off in the can or something so they sent him in anyway.

That was a "haha", see, because broken leg + 1-yard punt + kind of a Great Lubchenko reference = oh, what's the farking use.  Yes, it was before.
