Pretty sure Nike is not competing with Adidas in running shoes, the article is about goods in general.  Adidas makes pretty crappy running shoes that I rarely see.

I don't know about soccer cleats, but when it comes to running shoes, Mizuno rules. Rock and all.

Indeed.  Love my pair, but getting up to 250 miles on them.  Will need to replace soon.

New Balance and Saucony for me.  I used to wear Nikes but most of their shoes were too heavy...Adidas ran too small and doesn't seem to have much selection for running shoes.
