Earlier this year, the PM revealed that he was trying to find a new favourite band after he was banned from listening to The Smiths by both Johnny Marr and Morrissey.

I wasn't aware you needed an artist's approval to listen to their music.

They're a Christian folk band with what some consider a catchy sound.  When their songs aren't directly related to Christianity, they're usually about the singers drug addiction or some equally depressing topic while sounding cheery.

So... everyone should stop liking things you don't like?

I like Mumford and Sons.  I think they're a lot more musically interesting than the vast majority of shiat that gets played.  And if you don't... that's ok.

Yeah, that seemed oddly hilarious.  Although I'll admit, it would be harder to enjoy a body of work if I knew the writers and performers actively hated me as an individual.
