Kind of amazing that Carter, Clinton, Bush and Obama all went. When's the last time that happened?

They should have all rode together in the president jet. That would have been pretty cool.

Can't tell if this is some sort of weird tea party comment, or a slam on Netanyahu.

Um, neither? Not everything is a political argument. I just wonder how much money it takes to send the current president and three past ones to Africa for a funeral.

I thought I heard that Bush rode with Obama in Air Force One, but I'm not sure about that. I actually wondered about that, too...if Clinton and Carter would've Air-Force-One-pooled with the President and Mr. Bush. Have the pilot land the plane halfway there, they all get out, run around the airplane, and then get back in, and take off. Chinese fire-drill, but with a bad-ass jumbo jet...

Awesome! They should have gotten the other guys to ride with them, too. They could have drank whiskey and told president stories and played games all the way over there.

That would be what Obama costs us. They would then follow up how Bush was somehow saving us money.

It's a long way to South Africa. I bet Mr. Bush and Mr. Obama got about half in the bag somewhere along the way and started bugging the pilots to let them drive the plane.

Of course Bush was saving us money. You libtards can't fathom the simplest economics at all.

Let's say for the sake of argument that the cost of sending Fartbongo back to Africa for the funeral was $200,000,000 (of course, it's probably a lot more than that).

If Bush carpools with him, that's 2 Presidents for the same money, for a net savings of $100,000,000.

Think about it. You're the fcucking *president*, and you have a former president backing you up. You think if they started knocking on the AF1 cabin, and saying "hey dudes...let *us* have a turn at this motherfcucker", the pilots wouldn't give in?

My guess is the Secret Service was pooing itself having Obama and Bush in one spot and probably would put the kibosh on having so many high-profile targets in one spot for very long.

Other than morale, why would they care?  It's not like former Presidents are in the line of succession.

About $29.95 for each of the ex-presidents, about $250m/hr for Obama because of reasons.

No, I believe protocol would require the pilot to tell the President to go sit the fark down.
