Then once the medication had been inserted vaginally, the women were asked to rate their pain over the next four hours.  The women who received sildenafil reported relief without any side effects.

So the obvious thing to patent/market is a tampon with viagra.

What?
Have you any idea how difficult it is to balance a tiny blue diamond on the purple head and attempting to simultaneously insert it while maintaining a convincing look and expression that says this is all about helping her through these difficult days?

Then once the medication had been inserted vaginally,

Is this going to be a new industry? I could do this job.

Can they do that?  I understand copyright and trademark, but patent law confuses me (other than the utter farkitude of the system and patent trolls).

Please correct me if I got any of this wrong, but it looks like the patent on sildenafil citrate was initially applied to a drug called Revatio, which apparently fell into the public domain in 2012, but Viagra pills contain more sildenafil citrate and were protected by a separate "method-of-use" patent filed in 1998, which would last until 2019 and cannot be extended further.
It would seem that one could now get a prescription for Revatio or generic sildenafil citrate 20mg and simply take additional pills to achieve Viagra's effect, but only Pfizer may produce 25mg, 50mg, and 100mg pills prescribed for ED.  And I'm not a doctor or a pharmacist, but I guess the Revatio-type prescription would have to be written for the purpose of treating pulmonary hypertension and not for ED.
Was that accurate?  Close?

That is so confusing to me as a gay man.  How is it soooooo appealing every other time, except the 25% of the time she bleeding?  I just will never understand these things.

Yeah, that's thing -- they got another 7 year free ride.  The question is:  if they stop making Viagra in favor of some new marketing name for menstral cramps and ED, will this stop the generic that's ED-only from being produced?

I really feel for the guys that absolutely require it.  At $30 a pill (100mg) that's a killer.  As someone who needs a boost occasionally user it's not terrible, but still pricey.

/ means the wife and I skip the movie portion of date night.

Ignore that errant 'user' which appeared in the text.  Stupid mouse focus -- typed in the wrong window.

memeslave- Like most men I didn't think that far ahead. good call. BUT I've had my "wings" for 25 years.

Buttknuckle- Probably the same way I couldn't possibly look at a man's hairy ass and think "humm I'd like to put my face/penis in that." or like/want the feeling of a beard scraping my face when we kiss.
