Also known as: 20 Books that are already cancelled or soon will be, because we need to launch another Batman or Avengers title.

/I know there are non DC and Marvel titles in there

The last few hawkeye issues were shiat. 3 month delay for another rehash of the murder....fark that. And Kate on her own is completely uninteresting

"Best" and "mainstream" are rarely related when it comes to comics and graphic novels.

KhamanV: Saga?

checks

Saga's there.  We're good.

Lying Cat is the best bounty-hunter's sidekick ever. I've tried to train my cat to say, "Lying", but he just rolls around and begs for pets.

I love Saga.  I am glad they didn't put Morning Glories on there, though.  I'm still reading it, but it's long since passed into Lost territory... it loves adding layers of weirdness without actually answering any questions or advancing the plot.

I really like Hawkeye, although I'm not current with it.  Could not get into X-Men Legends at all.

Not a bad list.  I'd have had both Sex Criminals and Afterlife with Archie in there too, and I'm enjoying Velvet a bit more than Fatale, but at 2-3 issues each those series need to prove they can stay good over the long haul.

I admit I'm not current with either.  I have a box at a comic shop for a few other titles, but both Hawkeye and Saga are stories I've really enjoyed collected.  Also Elephantmen, but that's not exactly a 2013 thing.

I like the list and am going to look for prophet, trillium and 5 ghosts specifically. I just haven't been keeping up period (and Batman is getting tedious again).

I'm most interested in looking into Image's Manifest Destiny. That sounds rad as hell.

Lastly, I am impressed that Astro City is still around. Buziek is a champion.

The Loaf: READ SUPERIOR FOES OF SPIDER-MAN

Tried, didn't like it that much. Same with Hawkeye.

Others deservedly make the cut, love me East of West, Saga, Trillium, Nowhere Man, Hellboy in Hell and others.

As for Mind MGMT, I tried reading it, the plot is interesting, but I couldn't get past the fact that I hate the protagonist, Meru. Maybe I should try to read it again -- but I just hated the protagonist during the first 4 issues or so.

I'm actually disappointed that More than Meets the Eye didn't make the cut. It's my favorite comic by far, although its in a kind of hiatus as it iss currently being hijacked by the crossover with Robots in Disguise.

Also surprised The Wake is not in the list.

My current favorite arc of what I've read lately is TMNTs City Fall.  That was amazing in both story and art compared to some of the earlier issues.  Meets the eye is also good.

I also had a guilty pleasure in the sonic + megaman crossover.

Surprised not to see Velvet, but it's only two issues in so I'll accept it's omission.

Hawkeye, Daredevil, and Superior Foes. Probably my three favorite titles of the year. I love that they're getting the appreciation they deserve.

Unfortune there's no Valiant books...Archer & Armstrong and Harbinger have both been outstanding.

And no Superior Spider-Man?! That book is just pure fun.

Loving Fraction's Hawkeye run, and I'll have to check out Superior Foes of Spider-Man and the new Daredevil run.  I'm really hoping they do a solo Punisher title for Rachel Cole-Alves, the latest Punisher title was excellent.

Ghosted and Sheltered are the bomb. At least one of those should be on there.

Really enjoyed Iron Man most of this year. Batman court of owls and death of the family were good as well.
