Gun control laws, gay marriage, pot, Snowden, climate change "call to action..."

65 reasons to troll conservatives.

Still no cure for autoplay videos.

Yes, I know there's not one on that page. I'm still going to grump about it since Subby took care of "slideshows."

Yeah, really, that read more like "65 random things I heard on NPR this year".  Author needs to get out more. There are a lot of aspects to life that aren't really political.

If two gay marijuana plants decided to tie the knot, I do believe the author of that piece would shiat himself with delight.

People who can't write interviewing people who can't talk for the benefit of people who can't read.

It definitely had a liberal slant, yes.  Maybe we should take a stab at listing some less-political ones?

I'm okay with most of those things but, Rolling Stone(rs?) certainly seems to have a pot agenda

Yeah, IIRC there was something about pot and gay/trans rights on everyother page...

They could have mentioned this.

You can't rightly get your Christmas shopping done while conducting an investigation, can you?

In 2013, my wife lost all three of her remaining grandparents, her mother and step father had to get stents, my perfectly healthy father died in May from a mystery illness we will never truly know the cause of at the age of 56, one of my best friends since middle school was involved in a massive accident which wasn't his fault that almost claimed his life...

And that's not even all of it from this year. 2013 can go take a flying f**k at a rolling donut for all I care.

You have my sympathies, friend. At least mine apart to be done for a while. Though. I said the same thing after the last of the wife's grandparents went (pancreatic cancer, from healthy to death bed in for months after diagnosis). The day after, I got the call from my sister in Detroit (I was in Spain on military orders still) that Dad was in the ICU and in a coma.

Really, 2014 would be hard pressed to be any worse.

A 65 page slideshow?

how'bout no

Bucky Katt: Next year promises to be worse.

H.R 992 has passed in the House.  It throws away all of the recent restrictions on big banks gambling recklessly with toxic mortgage assets and other opaque derivatives.  So if the Senate passes it, and you hear the housing industry has "recovered," and is "booming," then damn straight it will be worse.

Next year is when everything is going to go down. Like clockwork. Almost as if by design.

Thankfully, there are multiple items per page, not 65 pages... It goes month-by-month, so only 12 pages... I almost balked at it too before I saw that...

I'm sorry.

Most of that is good stuff for peoples rights. Weed, gay marriage, gay military rights.
The gun control laws passed are kind of stupid though; as usual. They caused some manufactures to move out of the state(s) -a loss of jobs and taxes- and pisses off legal gun owners. The arbitrary 7 rounds (just a one up to the states that have 10) and getting rid of preban highcap in NY is stupid. The perpetual reg or sell ban in NY is also stupid. It's there to make criminals out of legal owners and confuse people. The CT ban list is also stupid. You ban new sales of a ton of items that are made right in your state, and it doesn't stop any crime. The background check part is a good part, mental health also good. Just leave it at that. But politicians "have to do something" and so it goes.
