I read that as Rosalee Palmer and immediately made the connection to Rosie Palmer. What a name to be saddled with.

Did anyone else notice the pic with the caption: "Brains: Rosalee recently got her SAT scores back and she's in the 99th percentile for math - making her a good candidate for her death school, MIT"

Later it says "The sophomore in high school recently got her SAT scores back and she's in the 99th percentile for math, which makes her a good candidate for her dream school - MIT."

Life, death, a dream... it's all the same

Toss in alcohol and the occasional accidental electric shocks, and yeah, you got it.

The problem isn't the metric system, the problem is the American Systerm.

"The Nation's" youngest -- as reported by England's "The Daily Mail", which still refers to "the nation" by which they mean the USA, not England?

Whatever, I'd totally wait two years for you to ask me my opinion about the attractiveness of a teenager I'll never meet.

The credibility of the sport will be questioned if they allow 16 y.o. girls to compete.

What you can't form an opinion on the attractiveness of a teenager without having a sexual thought.  This is a problem in this country. There is nothing wrong with saying "there is a pretty girl" and it just being a compliment.

or is it that you only have an opinion on a teenage girls attractiveness when you meet her? now that would be creepy

So... don't you pretty much hit the gas and steer into as much shiat as possible? Here in Colorado we have quite a few people who do that on a daily basis... with no formal training.

Well good for her, hopefully since she's still young she can avoid being exploited for her appea- oh, wait. First pic is her in a tight, low cut dress, showing way too much skin for an underage girl. How counterproductive to the message of "girls can be monster truck drivers, too." No you can't. You're sex objects in a man's world. Everything women do, we make them do near naked. Want to be a singer? Take your clothes off for a magazine. Want to play football? Do it in lingerie. Want to be a teenage girl interested in racing? Show me your developing body.

Fark this. I am so glad I don't have daughters.

Back in the 90's, when I was in my 20's, this used to be on Saturday mornings and was actually pretty fun to watch. Best thing I ever saw was a wreck where the monster truck in question ended up flipped completely over--onto a brand spanking new police car that was parked where it shouldn't be by some cop who wanted to show off the department's latest acquisition. It was funny as hell.

She's still underage in my state so I won't say the first thing that popped into my head.

I was thinking of Cornell's famously high suicide rate (which I think I've read is a myth, but still).

The 16-year-old girl who is the nation's youngest MONSTER TRUCK DRIVER (and has a 2160 SAT score)

its been a long time since i took the sat, but isn't the highest score possible a 1600?

It is a myth...but if you've ever been through an Ithaca winter, you'll realize that there should be WAY more suicides there.

/pretty, but very unpleasant
//suicides get more publicity when you do them off a pretty waterfall that everyone goes to see

enderthexenocide: its been a long time since i took the sat, but isn't the highest score possible a 1600?

It's out of 2400 now. Which makes everyone that took one a while ago seem even dumber when they say their score.

/as for the article, wow, a 16-year-old girl succeeding in a sport where the goal is to wreck cars. What a shock.
