And if he hadn't gone at all there would have been huge outrage about that. If he'd gone and requested that no pictures be taken there would've bee outrage from the right about the lack of transparency and that he's obviously censoring the press.

That's the funny thing: a lot of the time - and more than any President in recent years - the press doesn't take those photos. The White House photographer takes them and they're handed out after the event.

So when you see "Obama looking at photo of Kennedy" or "Obama looking at photo of Mandela," it's usually a handpicked shot chosen by the White House PR flacks. For example, the photo in the article, which comes from Obama's Facebook page, not the press...

They're either racists or hypocrites, because they didn't care about those same things when it was a white Republican doing them.

Maybe they should try talking about legitimate criticism more, and try to tone down the poutrage.

When 90% of "scandals" are bullshiat, people tend not to listen to the people screaming "Scandal!" because his wife says "Hey, maybe you should drink some water and get some exercise."

But that's my point, most of those are "silly PR optics," some were legit, but totally blown out of proportion (gun walking), and the others were either made up out of whole cloth or through deliberate mangling of info (Benghazi, IRS). None of those are real scandals. In fact the only real scandal of this Presidency has been the NSA, and the GOP couldn't capitalize on that because they want to be able to spy on us too.

Headline: Obama Honors Pearl Harbor Dead with Picture of Himself
Hmm. Ok. Breitbart.com must think pretty highly of President Obama if their editorial opinion is that a picture of him at a memorial honors those memorialized.

President Barack Obama's Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor-accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial.
Other than the gratuitous use of the em dash, that's almost journalistically acceptable -- other than the fact that they're reporting on a facebook post.

The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground.
I don't see the interview with the photographer, where he or she explains the particular framing motivation. Perhaps the picture barely fits President Obama to ensure the memorials name is prominent in the background and not truncated? Rank speculation on motives shouldn't be reported as fact.

The post's statement reads:

Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served.
The post's statement reads:

President Obama

The author has at least transcribed the statement accurately.

The Obama Administration's current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of the Navy from 313 to 298 ships. During a debate in the 2012 election, the President famously responded to concerns about the Navy's smaller size with a quip about the armed forces also having fewer "horses and bayonets."

I'm not quite sure what the author is going for here. Given Breitbart's track record, I'm guessing they're trying to associate Obama's plan to shrink the Navy with Isoroku Yamamoto's, but it's more a non-sequitur than anything.
