I'm more concerned with people being able to put hash/honey oil in an Ecig and be able to take vapor hits easily anywhere. And by concerned I mean I want that.

After reading the article I can only conclude that our politicians will finally agree on something:  We need to ban wall chargers and USB cables so kids cant recharge the batt-o-bong devices.  Anyone found in possession of a charging device of any kind for any purpose will get a mandatory 4 year prison sentence.

I saw an ad for a "pocket hookah" in a smoke shop window the other day.  For the life of me, I couldn't figure out the difference between that and an e-cig.

And how do you do marijuana in one of these things anyway?  Do you just stuff it in the liquid reservoir or something?

And I know I'm getting old because I clicked hoping to learn something about a portable shisha.

Pocket vaporizers aren't knew.  The wife and I got her brother one for Christmas four years ago.  $150, and the farker proceeded to get high in a canoe and drop the thing in the lake.  He retrieved it, but it never worked right afterwards.

oh and BTW: personal vapor devices are light years beyond a shiatty e-cig...e-cig stuff you see in the gas stations or quick stops/whatnot are 100% pure crap, made BY big tobacco.  I am of the opinion they are made to be crappy so that folks try them, think that vaping is 'bad' and then go back to buying tobacco.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com

this forum is filled with folks who vape and share their experiences/info.  vaping CAN be a pain in the ass to understand - what to do, how to do it, etc.  but they will show anyone there who really wants to drop tobacco what simple gear to buy and what you can do for juice - there are hundreds of vendors for juice alone.  some suck, some are incredible.

I pretty much had one last cig and then have not really wanted one since, I get nicotine from juice now.  its MUCH less loaded with chemicals than tobacco - compared to it, its a hell of a lot safer, imo.

what I use is a Kanger EVOD VV (variable voltage) battery and Kanger mini protank II pyrex tanks.  there is for sure a learning curve on making the tank act nicely (no gurgles, rebuilt the coils myself, put in sterile cotton wick from some CVS sterile cotton balls), but it makes clouds of vapor and - like I said...has helped a ton in allowing me to just dump cigs completely.

sure I might get a craving from time to time, but a few serious honks off the vape and about 5 minutes later (the time to absorb nicotine, its slower than smoking) and im happy again.  and I have about a dozen + flavors to choose from that I picked out from some suggested vendors:

Alice in Vapeland
Nicoticket
Ahlusion.us

Matter of fact I ordered again from Nicoticket and Ahlusion this morning. AiV packages are really kinda cool..like a birthday gift.

And its seriously helped me just drop cigs and not look back.

If anyone wants to get more info, please hit up ECF...folks are really nice there (and snarky too...this is interwebs after all...hell yes there is some snarkin')

Isn't that just an e-cig with a tank?

I ask, because I bought one for my Uncle for Christmas...I guess I can tell him I bought him a portable hookah instead.

2013-12-08 11:24:45 AM
Most these e-cigs and related items are from the tobacco companies branching out. So the anti-smokers insist that everything big tobacco does must have their stamp of approval. The FDA tried to regulate e-cigs, but failed in court. So now we have this anti-vaper campaign going on. If nicotine killed people, or pocket hookahs hooked the kids on marijuana, we'ld be hearing about the studies or arrests made. Instead, we're told to think of the children. I don't have any sympathy for big tobacco, but I have even less for these fear-mongering self-serving prohibitionists.

They are similar to e-cigs.  They both have a coil that has a piece of wick stuck through it.  The coil heats up and vapes the substance surrounding it.  In an E-cig you will have some sort of tank that can hold a lot of liquid.  With the E-pot devices it has a bowl that you can drip oil or place wax in.  It will not burn hash or bud, only wax or hash oil.

/They work terrific too!

Oh laws!  Run for the Hills!  Them stoners got ways to be getting themselves high and no one will KNOW?  Land oh Goshen, how WILL we survive?

The Dumper Post has really grabbed the Brass Ring with the Cannabis issue and every week at least, needs to have one or more articles that decry how easy it is to get high.  Its as though they have been asleep, Rip Van Winkle style since oh, 1938 or so....

I love that no one has commented yet - most of their pot articles gather remora all over the shark, this article is so stupid that no one has risen to their bait.

Seriously though, a roll of papers is what a buck fifty, a quality vape is $150 plus you have to format the herb to fit.  I'm sure lot's of 7th graders are doing just that, right now eh?

Unrelated:  Where do kids get the money these days?  I know only a couple three teens with jobs, how do they afford to by pot and vapes on an allowance?  I could not even put gas in my car with my weekly allowance.

/where's that onion anyway

A shop opened up in my small town selling nothing but these recently. I couldn't understand how they stayed open until I stopped inside and tried it out. The wife is getting one for Christmas, and I'm going to be learning how to make my own Honey hash oil.

Anyone here have experience with it? My special lady is concerned about verifying all the butane is out, and I've only found credible walkthroughs for butane methods.

You have to be careful there because a lot of the people are WAY into the whole device part. It's easy to forget that some people just want to have a low-guilt, stink free smoke, and that it is OK to not carry a pair of car batteries connected to a diesel glow plug dunked inside a vat of juice. Neither way is wrong.

After 27 years of smoking I haven't had a cigarette in over 4 weeks. Got an eGo-T and use CE4 clearomizers and some simple juice made locally. The goal is to quit completely by using juice with less nicotine over time. Simple setup, keeps cravings at bay, and I am breathing better and my sense of smell has returned. These things are a godsend. All the scare tactic articles are probably funded by the tobacco companies (cigarette sales were down 5% in the first quarter this year) and makers of the patches/gum. They are losing business because we found a better way to quit.

We recently got a message from my daughter's high school that they had confiscated 5 e-cigs in just a few days.  I figured most high schoolers were taking their parent's after their enthusiasm had waned a bit and were heading back to regular cigs most of the time.

My brother-in-law has a shop that sells them though, and he says there are a lot of shops that will sell to kids since it's not yet illegal.  Seems like a good way to drive yourself out of business to me, but I guess some people are short sighted.
