Frank N Stein: "Since his first full day in office, President Obama has prioritized making government more open and accountable"

lol

There was a report on On The Media this morning about one of their staffer's families getting held up at the Canadian border for hours by DHS with no explanation given. The staffer and OTM haven't been able to get an explanation from the government, so they're asking their listeners to contact their Representatives about it.

I'm hearing lots of criticism of the administration here, but none of it is at all coherent.

Ontos: netcentric: A year from now Obama will deny he knew anything about this plan.

Hey, remember when Reagan said he had no idea what his office was doing in the Iran-Contra Affair? Good times.

Is the criticism of the president ever coherent here? It's a sign that things are okay, when the anti-Obama stuff is whargarbll and nothing but.

Ha. . okay, so I was about to respond, "Yeah, I'd totally believe Obama, except for all the reports about what the NSA is doing, and Snowden, and . . . "

And then I realized that's all public now. . so. . . I dunno. Maybe Bush didn't engage in surveillance, or what he did he did a good job keeping under the radar, and Obama does it more, but is bad at it and gets caught all the time. . .

I kinda like the idea of someone incompetent at keeping a secret when he's saying his goal is transparency. That's all kinds of snickering goodness.

Reagan.  There wasn't much of an internet to spy on, and drones hadn't even been invented yet, let alone considered for Domestic use.

Yeah, except Obama didn't reveal that stuff, Snowden did. And then got in deep shiat over it.

Obama is no more transparent than Bush. He shouldn't have said he was going to be, either. Anyone with a brain knows there is a ton of shiat they aren't going to reveal to the public
