Not to be too pedantic, but the article talks about alcohol, not just beer. So I'll attain immortality through my association with red wine.

But beer has a better history. It used to be breakfast for the workingman in England in the 18th century. Of course, beer at that time was probably the consistency of Guinness these days. And lunch in this country before prohibition, when kids would bring buckets of beer to the workers.

Both for breakfast? I'll pass. Now combine the Celtic shot of Irish Whiskey for breakfast with a Guinness, you've got a good breakfast.

But I'm allergic to beer, and don't have any particular desire to live longer. Instead, I'll stabilize the length of my telomeres by sticking to rum and diet coke.

Alcohol is sort of yeast pee, so I feel a bit kinky admitting to this fetish.

Uh... Alcohol itself will not make you live longer. Neither will caffeine. The two words are not synonymous with the beverages containing them.

Alcohol "lengthens" and caffeine "shortens" ?????

By that assumption and according to my intake, tonight I shall die and tomorrow I will be resurrected.
