Why am I not surprised that the person responsible for making AOL a "content destination" would be named Cyndi?

Close, subby. Missed it by that much.

One source said it is a "slow fire" which suggests it won't go public until next year.

Um...

AOL is still a thing? The desk I once levelled with their sign-up floppies fell apart in the 20th century.

Yeah.  It boiled down to, "God I hate libby libs, those people only know how to hate hate hate, GOD I HATE LIBBY LIBS."

In an article about AOL, which I barely even knew existed any longer, much less that it was apparently all LIBBY LIB.

Jesus Christ! I think I've read less psychotic paranoia on the World Net Daily comment section. They probably think that their own bowel movements are somehow related to a liberal conspiracy.

/no wonder they don't want background checks to buy guns

Yeah, I was kinda blown by that too. No idea AOL was such a dog whistle to those folks.

/now I kinda want it to come back bigger than ever, but I'm a negative responder that way

And people still use it.  Faithfully.

CSB:  I'm a corporate recruiter so I look over dozens of resumes every day.  I've learned to disregard any resume that has and AOL address.  Every time I call one of those applicants, they're computer-impaired.  They don't know what version of Office they're using, their Google-fu is non-existent, and they have no clue what's out there on the internet except for Facebook.  An entire generation of 40-somethings who are eternally clueless.

"AOL CEO Tim Armstrong was forced to make massive cuts to his pride and joy, Patch.com, "

I was wondering why Patch got worse.

For all of you who didn't realize AOL still existed, they have a lot of different brands:

http://corp.aol.com/all-brands/

And since one of them is HuffPo, that probably explains all the hate for liberals.

Something tells me there's a strong correlation between the timestamps on these comments and commercial breaks on Glenn Beck's show.

Jeebus, I disagree about a lot of the things conservatives/Republicans do. But it wouldn't stop me from doing things like eating at Chik Fil-A, watching Fox Entertainment or Fox Sports programs, or some other things that may be affiliated with conservatives. People gave up AOL because it realined with Liberal values? What the hell?
