Being stupid should be painful.  I found this awesomely painful for the boys involved.

Nice air.

Wouldn't that be a quadruple?

Anyone said "Awesome" yet? No? I will. AWESOME!

Well, next time learn the course before going for speed and airtime.

I expected something, and I was still surprised when they went over the edge. Glad no one was hurt.

Don't want to harsh the guys high, but, since they, obviously, don't know the trail, they also don't know whether hikers could have been coming up the other way.  Morans have an affinity for two wheels, it seems.

Happened to me once. Blind hill, immediate turn after and into a lake.

You realize that's a trail specifically built for DH biking, right?  Hiker coming the other way on that would be at fault.

/Unless you know a lot of hikers willing to climb five foot drops.

This is exactly what I expect to see happen on every one of these biking videos.

This is why I don't record when I'm on my motorcycle.  It would capture my death.

Mountain bike course, so no chance of hikers. No chance of walking it first to learn it because, mountain bike course. Can't really take it slow the first time because you need speed to take the drops and jumps. Following someone who knows the course would probably be a good idea though. Sometimes you just have to do the run and see what comes.

If it were specifically designed for DH biking, it wouldn't have had a 90 degree midair turn, now would it?

Stairs turning left in a downhill run is pretty poor design for an airborne section, wouldn't you say? I'd venture to guess the PEOPLE IN THE VIDEO, HAD YOU WATCHED IT would say the same.

\gratz, you're as smart as those riders

It didn't have a mid-air turn, they weren't supposed to hit it at that speed.

That is not an airborne section. They probably missed the sign off to their right as well as looking to the left where you can see the course. Just went a tad fast for that spot.

Same reason I take a downhill winding XC ski trail slow the first time.

I've created situations like that in Rollercoaster Tycoon.

Walk the course.

Even Czgzyg, Brrgl, Unhf, and Anne Romney do it.

Anybody else get a small giggle with that last "UUURGGGHH" at the end?

I hope they are not seriously injured, though. Stupid not to take it slow the first time through the course. I guess they felt the need to be "EXTREME!!!!"

OK, I'll retract my comments.  When I saw that blind curve, I thought no way was this a biking trail. They were way more than a "tad fast" for that curve.  Whoever designed that part of trail had more than a bit of the sadist in him, but, it's nice that there are some bushes to break their fall.

Poor course design, bad signage, bet that happens a lot.  Probably frequently enough that the beta for the course goes something like "go slow on the 4th bridge."  Riders probably should have known so they're at least partially at fault.

They were with a guy who knew the course.  He was the guy waiting for all three to land in the same place.  Maybe put a turn left arrow on a tree.

I spend my time in the woods, this happens more often then none - village idiots who take ATV's down hiking trails or bikes. Why do you not mess with a woodman? Most like me carry a 5 inch knife, this is how tires get slashed, good luck getting your pos equipment out of the woods without a tire.

Clearly an OH F*CK! moment if I've ever seen one.

Hilarious that it took four guys out one after another and nobody was seriously hurt. Bet they were glad for that bush.

I used to monutain bike back in the day (early 90s), with no suspension, when you felt every bump.  then Rock Shox came along and you at least could keep your front wheel on the ground on some trails.  now with these dual suss bikes and the travel of the shocks, you can take a 10-15 foot drop and the shocks pick up a majority of the energy from the hit.

Know who else is a moron?

Somebody who doesn't know a mountain bike course when they see it, which was precisely what they were on.

I've always enjoyed tycoon games. How did your customers respond?

I've always wanted a true sports owner tycoon game, but I'm a rarity I think.
