Hmm, using a drone to swoop in and steal packages... Sounds good, but my experience is that packages are dropped behind the shrubbery, under the eaves.

"It's really a pretty clever scheme,"

Yeah, no one has ever thought of doing that before.

It's a horrible crime that will set a horrible precedent, but I can't help but hope and pray for the age of radio-controlled drones engaging in air piracy against drone couriers.

Because drone air piracy is a future I never thought would happen... but I really really hope it will. I want to see the reports on the news channels and the newspapers and on Fark about air pirate drones intercepting people's Amazon packages.

Thats why i have expensive packages delivered to my place of employment. I'm there, small group of good people, and it's obvious when Fed Ex shows up. No package sitting on my front porch screaming "steal me now".

Drug wholesalers actually send packages to random addresses and have their out-of-state colleagues loiter to pick them up.

Several packages were sent to the mayor of a village in the DC suburbs. The cops thought he was part of it - they busted in on him and his girlfriend, shot his dogs, arrested them both.  After a few months, they figured out that he had nothing to do with it.  Sad story all around.

Where is the hero tag for the girl?

It takes balls to rat out your dad. Hopefully he has a drug habit and this will be his rock bottom, my guess is that the rest of the family will now blame girl (instead of dad) for dad's brush with the law.

The Grinch hated Christmas - the whole Christmas season. Now, please don't ask why; no one quite knows the reason. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. Or it could be that his head wasn't screwed on just right. But I think that the most likely reason of all... may have been that his heart was two sizes too small.

It doesn't take balls to rat out your parents. At that age you're so farking young and naive you have no concept of protecting your family -- only doing 'the right thing'.

My parents used to drop me off at my grandparents' house so they could have a 'safety meeting' with their friends and coworkers on the weekend. Because they knew I was young and naive enough I'd rat them out to my local DARE officer if I knew they were smoking weed.

They didn't tell me until I had graduated H.S. that they used to smoke pot constantly on the weekends. It's also when I learned what 'safety meeting' really meant. Kids are dumb and obsessed with being 'the good guy'. It doesn't take balls to rat out your parents because you think they're doing something bad. If anything, it's revenge for them making you do chores or disciplining you. But that's how a child thinks.

My parents quit smoking pot when we were kids over this same thing. It was more about what it would do to us than any trouble it would cause. My mom still denies ever smoking pot. ;) (they've been married over 40 yrs :D)

This is evil but intriguing. A larger drone, with some kind of grappling hook and a little Jolly Roger flag...this could work.

I want to see miniature clinging spider robots shot from the mother drone with theaters board the Amazon drone and retrieve the package mid-flight replacing the cargo with rocks and garbage before swinging back to the mother drone with the booty.

Agree, 100%.

I don't understand the "snitches get stitches" retards.

If you see something like this, you SHOULD report it if you know who they are, no matter if they're related or not.

It is completely idiotic to think that because you're related to someone you would be "snitching".

Sorry, it's not snitching.   Snitching is telling the teacher that someone shot a rubber band at you in elementary school.

Snitching is NOT reporting that you know who stole people's property.   That's your civic duty...your duty at a human being, in fact.
People that commit crimes SHOULD be turned in.  The girl did the right thing.
