Not sure why they included that first pic of the comments on there. Two were racist dickbags, but four were calling out the racist dickbags.

The second screengrab illustrates it a little better.

Its sad that we are letting American politics interfere with our view of the world

Mandela was a man who fought against injustice. It wasn't about abortion, or a space program, or food stamps; it was about equality. There are many people who project our politics on other countries and see him as someone who would be a Liberal in our eyes. Because of that Conservatives go apeshiat on him and curse him when he dies.

Partisanism at its worse.

I like this one:
Let's not forget that Mandela called Castro's Communist revolution "a source of inspiration to all freedom-loving people."

Also, let's not forget that 'Ted's' dad did, too.

2013-12-06 12:55:49 PM
I love the guy who craps on Mandela because he supported the Cuban revolution.  I guess he probably has no idea that Ted Cruz's dad fought for Castro in that revolution.

Mandela embraced some of America's biggest political enemies. Mandela incited shock and anger in many American communities for refusing to denounce Cuban dictator Fidel Castro or Libyan Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, who had lent their support to Mandela against South African apartheid. "One of the mistakes the Western world makes is to think that their enemies should be our enemies," he explained to an American TV audience. "We have our own struggle." He added that those leaders "are placing resources at our disposal to win the struggle." He also called the controversial Palestinian Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat "a comrade in arms." He was imprisoned by a racist government for bombings and murders that he and his MK buddies planned.

Just because the apartheid government was evil doesn't automatically make Mandela a saint....

I guess he wont win the GOP nomination. Better check the twitter-verse and see what the rest of the GOP prez wannabes are saying.  It darn well better fit in in what St. Reagan said.

If the KKK goes out and lynches, falsely imprisons and murders a substantial quantity of people, and then someone goes out and firebombs the KKK do I need to continue pointing out where you are missing the point?

No, but the way he behaved after his side won does.  He didn't cash in or try to get revenge against whites and he stuck to his principles instead of grabbing power..

And it's not like George Washington didn't kill anyone.  I'm sure the British thought he was a murder and terrorist.

Except while he did do what he was imprisoned for, he served his time and changed his ways and in doing so united a country and helped end an era of oppression. He paid his debt to society and did exactly what was needed to prevent the country from spiralling into a bloody all-out civil war.

He was no saint, to be sure, but he was a good man in the end and only did what he did for his country.

That's because the likes of facebook, twitter, and youtube is filled with tards and we tend to amplify those voices. Remember the facebook comments after the Japanese earthquake & tsunami? This shiat is the norm now. *shivers*

He is definitely no saint, but he became a rather level headed leader afterwards. At least for African standards. And besides, America has supported worse people for less.
