Minor detail.

But Mitt Romney has shown us that tax records don't matter.

2013-12-06 11:46:56 AM
This guy would be an excellent executive, especially at an IT-centric company.

He's an idea man! Leave the details for someone else.

Lando Lincoln: Minor detail.

But Mitt Romney has shown us that tax records don't matter for Republicans.

Fixed for what I'm sure will happen.

But it's "Technically" true.

2013-12-06 12:12:16 PM
So you are admiting the attacks are true.  I do not think you have thought out your little plan.

So she's a carpetbagger.

StopLurkListen: But it's "Technically" true.

The best kind of correct.

Holy fark, she's running for governor, and on the (D) ticket?  Holy crap, she's a complete idiot.  If you sit down and chat with her about her ideas to improve the economy, it is exceedingly clear she has no idea WTF she's talking about.

I worked a couple of years in D.C. in consulting work and then went to Harvard Business School for my MBA. Then I went to New York and worked for McKinsey and Co. When I was graduating from business school, I talked to my dad (Richard Burke, founder of Trek Bicycles) and said, "You know, Dad, I'd really like to come back to Wisconsin and work for you." He said, "Well, let me get back to you ..." And then, a couple weeks later he said, "You know, I don't really have anything for you." That's how we were brought up - you didn't have things automatically handed to you.

Yeah that's fundamentally not true.  Everything she got was handed to her by her father.  Dick Burke was a really nice guy but Mary Burke is your stereotypical spoiled rich girl who had the world handed to her.

Holy crap I could not imagine the conundrum that would be choosing between this lady and Scott Walker.  That really is a giant douche v. turd sandwich election.

Scooter and his cronies lying to the people of Wisconsin? Well I never!

Seriously, if the WisDems can't unseat this retarded asshole I'm gonna be real discouraged by Wisconsin and it's voters.

Saiga410says he cares, but did you know for the first fifteen years of his life, he never paid any Illinois state income taxes?

What are you trying to hide,  Saiga410? It's ironic that Saiga410 continues to dodge the tough questions in this thread.

The truth always seems to have this liberal bias to it, doesn't it?

2013-12-06 12:24:54 PM
She should just release her tax returns from those years and put the matter to rest. It's pretty simple. If she's in the wrong, she deserves the heat.

Wisconsinites immediately replace their concerns about Aaron Rodger's shoulder with concerns about causing "real" discouragement to random farker. Life is perfect.

But, wait a minute. Dems love taxes so much, shouldn't they be paying ones they don't owe? Or something.

2013-12-06 12:25:43 PM
The article basically addresses the criticism by saying, "well, it depends".

Truly a damning editorial against this candidate.

2013-12-06 12:28:40 PM
And - get this - I heard there were 48 other states where no taxes were paid.

Cletus C.: So she's a carpetbagger.

She lived in Wisconsin for 20 years just so she can run for governor! It's plain as day!

Meh, it's WI.  This may or may not affect her chances.  But until she starts trumpeting out the winnar is her, I don't see the issue for not paying taxes in a state you didn't live in at the time, regardless of her shady political beginnings and/or daddy issues.

But for the pubbies to be throwing spears at her for it is really what I was getting at.

I'm sorry if I took you wrong, I'm not feeling very well and just took some cold medication that may be making me more dense than usual.

Mary Burke is, as others have said, a total dumbass who had everything handed to her by her daddy. She is the Wisconsin Democrat party's George W Bush.

Hopefully neither her or Falk gets nominated, because if they do, Walker will win easily. They are that bad.

How is it some random politician can know what someone paid for taxes 20 years ago?

I'd still take nepotism over unbridled incompetence and unapolagetic attacks on the working class.

It's more like nepotism and unbridled incompetence against unbridled incompetence and unapologetic attacks on the working class.

I'm not saying vote for Scott Walker, I'm saying if that's the governor race, move out of the state.

While sadly that is true, it was not from me trying to withhold taxes from the dear people of my beloved state. No, I say no, unike ragekage I did submit the simple and humble income that I earned on my passbook account's interest but the state did not feel the need to take the offered tribute.

But this brings to mind why has ragekage not addressed his stance on the taxation on the transport of midgets across the state border.  What does he have to hide?

I am absolutely for Tim Jennings being taxed up the wazoo, especially if he dares to cross the Illinois border northbound to Green Bay; and furthermore, I'm in favor of making it illegal to refer to that disgusting casserole you FIBs seem to enjoy as "pizza". Maybe "doughy pile of failure".

I dunno about that. Assuming he operates with the intelligence of a six year old, he is already smarter than most Republicans, and therefore they wouldn't like him.
