Finally we have a weapon against the army of skinny jeans: a giant case that will protect your phone but won't fit in your pocket. Your move hipsters...

No there isn't.

Ehhh... my Lifeproof case does just fine protecting my iPhone from falls. And water. And dirt.

Also, for this airbag thing, it would really suck to trip and fall with your phone in your pocket, wouldn't it? ;)

I work for ATT as an escalation manager 99.9 percent of my calls are broken iphones because they failed to put a case on them.

Maybe the phones should come with a case?

Seriously, this.  I managed to drop my 920 from about 5' onto concrete twice.  Dented the corner a bit, but it was otherwise fine.  I'm not suggesting it, and I'm sure it could have broken if it hit differently, but it's definitely a well built phone.

My daughter drops her Blackberry Curve several times a day, and refuses point-blank to put it in a case even though she owns several. The casing is all smashed to shiat and has several big chunks missing off it, but it still works.

Everyone I have encountered with a cracked phone says they dropped it at the bar.

So don't get drunk and handle expensive things?

This farking thing won't die. 3 foot fall off a desk onto Pergo floor cracked the digitizer on day 2 but after replacing the broken digitizer I've lost track of how many times it'shiat the ground, battery and door flying off in opposite direction, wondering, hoping if this were it's time. It's got crumple zones. It laughs at giant, screen protected, cased, phones.

Hinges work perfectly still. So much for that concern.

/Stoopid S4 is going to buy it soon. I know it.

This is why I won't get an iphone. It seems like the things crack if you sneeze on them hard.

Maybe something that's $600 shouldn't be fragile.

I used a small silicon shell on my Bionic for two years. There's not a scratch on the thing. I went running with it, and I would fumble it out of my pocket and chunk it at the asphault *hard*. No scratches or cracks. The damn thing looks new.

Now I have an LG G2. Got a silicon shell and I've already dropped it a few times. No scratches yet.

I am still rocking a Samsung Galaxy G2 Skrocket, waiting on my Nexus 5.

A typical call goes like this "I just dropped my 4s and it shattered, I have only had it three months, what are you going to do for me?"  And I say "Well, you do not have insurance, but tell you you what, let me send you out an S3 or an HTC One" and I start getting screamed at.

"Those phones are not as well made as the Iphone".  You mean the one you just shattered.

Same. Thanks to LifeProof, my 4S has survived a fall down a flight of stairs, several fumbles to various hard floors and a rambunctious Labrador Retriever who decided if I was holding it, it must be a toy.

Honestly, being able to demonstrate a LifeProof case to someone who has never seen one is almost worth the price. Toss it to the floor, play catch when you know damn well they'll miss it, drop it in a pitcher of water and tell them to call you, all kinds of fun.

I've come to accept that some people have a predisposition for lazy/neglective attitudes with things in their possession, I just never let those morons hold any of mine.  Especially the babby.
