The NFL Network can sell this as the "Early round playoff of the teams that somehow are not mathematically eliminated yet".... although, even  with Houston beating Jacksonville tonight.... Jax still wins at least one of the crazy "everyone at 6-10" tiebreakers (but, only if Houston didn't win out the rest of the way as well)...

I got called out in a headline once. I loved it. I don't think they care unless the person being called out cares.

Honestly though, Jacksonville making the 6th wild card at 7-9, while it sounds like "flights of fancy"... you look at what has to happen (I haven't checked out all the scenarios, but, i think on most of these, Jax wins tiebreakers).... other than Jax, listed is the best record a team can have and still get Jax in....

Jacksonville (4-0)....
Miami (1-3)....
Jets (1-3)....
S.D. (2-2)....
Oakland (2-2)....
Cleveland (3-1)...
Baltimore (1-3)...
Pittsburgh (2-2)...
Tennessee (2-2)...
Buffalo (3-1)...

Although it all has to line up, I don't know if anyone would be surprised with the other teams pulling those results with their schedules in their last 4 games, and how their teams have been doing.  Whether Jacksonville can go 4-0, we'll see, although they get 3 games at home agaist beatable opponents, and then play @ Indy, which, they'll probably have their division locked up and be locked in either 3 or 4 seed, so, they won't have a whole lot to play for, in addition to just being erratic the last few weeks anyway.

Oh, I'm just tickled :-)

And this game DOES mean something! As awful as we are this year, the Texans are worse and the Titans aren't much better. If we make it into the wild card round after the train wreck that was the first six games, I will explode from happiness.

And it was either me or you with the greenlights on those right? good point.

The one time I called a Farker out because they had a story related name, I had no idea of the rule and it got redlit and I had around 10 nasty comments pointing me to the FArQ.

Either subby got lucky by using a part of her name or the admin on duty is a follower of these threads and has a sense of humor

At any rate

Sleeting and icy in Big D.  Hottest item in stores is Kitty Litter.  This town is so weird when the weather gets nasty.  Snow is no big deal, but I've been thru the 1975 Ice Clone Wars here and it is really a dangerous place to be when the ice is thicker than the asphalt. Working from home, hoping the power stays on. Lock and Load.  Fridge stocked with all the essentials, like extra wine and hamhocks.

So, football huh?

It's Bunny's thread, it's Bunny's night.  I want lots of Bunnies.

I don't want clowns, bees, toasters, or politics thread. I just want the Jags to put a beat down on the Texans.

Usually, for this game they wear their special "battle uniforms". I notice that those didn't get trotted out this year.
