Charles Barkley quote time?

After Kevin Garnett threw a ball into the crowd out of frustration and was ejected. They showed footage of the man that got hit by the ball being taken away in a stretcher and his daughter was crying. Charles commented that players take passes to the face all the time. He topped it off by saying: "You know why that little girl's crying? It's because she's thinking 'my daddy's a wussy'"

"All I know is, as long as I led the Southeastern Conference in scoring, my grades would be fine."

I'd never buy my girl a watch... she's already got a clock over the stove.

After throwing a guy through a 1st floor window in a bar Charles was in front of the judge.
Judge: "Your sanctions are community service and a fine, do you have any regrets?"
Charles: "Yeah I regret we weren't on a higher floor"

After an Olympic Dream Team victory over Angola, in which they won 116-48, Charles got into a physical altercation with a member of Angola towards the end of the game, afterwards he says, "Somebody hits me, I'm going to hit him back. Even if it does look like he hasn't eaten in a couple weeks. I thought he was going to pull a spear on me."

telling TMZ Sports the kid may have choked, but he doesn't deserve DEATH THREATS.

How did the kid choke exactly? He never attempted a field goal that far - Even if he was lined up he was still short you dumbass. As for alabama fans, the only ones giving death threats are doing so from the trailer parks - the ones who never went to alabama university to begin with.
Every team has these trailer trash assholes, only thing is Alabama ones just are far more butt hurt over losing to Auburn.

This is Alabama.  The last time Alabama lost the Iron Bowl, an Alabama fan poisoned a pair of 130 year old oak trees on Auburn's campus.  The Alabama football team is apparently the only thing of any value in the entire state, so when they lose it gets ugly.

The kid who came up short on the attempt at the end of the game was his replacement.  The one receiving threats is the regular kicker, who missed 2 field goals in the game and had another one blocked.  Not that it excuses the behavior, just clarifying.

Different kicker.  The guy who missed the three short kicks earlier in the game is the one getting the death threats.  A different kicker tried the 57 yarder at the end.  And you're right, that was a pretty damn good kick.

I farking loved his quote in "Roll Tide/War Eagle" over the Cam Newton scandal.  Paraphrasing: "Alabama calling out Auburn over (shady dealings) is like Snooki calling Halle Berry ugly".

Charles is the man.

The worst thing about Twitter is articles that get written up after any event like this: "John Smith has received multiple death threats after dropping a third quarter pass in last night's loss." There's such a big difference between a guy on Twitter saying "I hope John Smith dies" and the old fashioned way of actually calling him or sending a letter in the mail. When it's just some guy on his couch blowing off steam do we really need to get all outraged about it?

You'd think the police would backtrack those threatening calls and drag the offenders to a court outside of Alabama to publically shame these horrible human beings but meh, it's SEC. Who ya gonna blame?

If it's directed at a specific person and it's "I hope you die" or "go kill yourself", then yes. If it's wishing for someone's death because of the outcome of a sporting event, then again, yes. Just because there's a lower barrier of entry for showing the world you're a wankstain doesn't mean you don't deserve the consequences of your speech.

*edit: also it's kinda obvious that mobile quarterback schemes is something that Saban actually struggles to deal with... only reason Alabama beat Manziel this year was the Alabama passing game got into a rhythm, but the Alabama defense still could not close out the game

in the NFL, the mobile quarterback has more limitations and only a few teams are still succeeding with it on a regular basis

Depending on the location, it makes perfect sense. If I grew up in rural Nebraska and went to a trade school to become an electrician, but I do enjoy football....wouldn't it make sense that I would "follow" Nebraska football since there's no other worthwhile football in the area I call home even though I didn't specifically attend the school?

See, if someone went to the trouble of finding out where you reside and/or receive mail, then you could reasonably be worried. Morons saying idiotic stuff on Twitter? No, that's not a real threat. That's someone being an idiot. Sure, you can criticize those people all you want...but portraying it as actual death threats is silly in most cases.

Because these "amateur kids playing games" are doing so in w/in a billion dollar industry with immense television/media exposure and coverage. In the NFL, a mobile quarterback who is just a glorified running back (Tim Tebow) is worthless.  A mobile quarterback who can actually throw the ball (Russell Wilson, Cam Newton) is a weapon, but mainly with his arm.
