Anayalator: Again?

I think this one has "extended footage" (going by the Youtube link) and was only uploaded a little over a week ago.

Haven't watched it, but I guess this could count as a followup.

This particular video is from the second plane, which hadn't been shown until recently.

Since I apparently didn't see this the first time, I have to ask about this:

Three parachutists who had been perched on the step of the second plane were knocked unconscious in the crash but were miraculously able to land safely.

Is there some sort of safety mechanism that opens chutes when you are knocked out? Or do the chutes auto-deploy when they leave the plane?

They might have been jumping with static lines?

I *think* (someone please correct me here if I'm wrong) that there are such devices which will deploy automatically at N feet.
Also, a lot of the time when someone is knocked unconscious they wake up fairly quickly. That could have been the case here.

Either way, through whatever serendipitous twist of fate, they all survived, which is farking awesome.

Yes, by law they  must have have a CYPRES or other AED on the reserve chute.

Dude near the wing was lucky not to get fuel spilled on him and end up as a flying candle.

And amazingly difficult to get some people to wear those devices  or even helmets, at least back when I was crazy enough to do this.

Two of those were military drones made to look like planes. I think one of the skydivers was also a military drone.

Even more so, he was very lucky to not get shoved into the prop by the collision.

AnonymooseFarker: Yes, by law they  must have have a CYPRES or other AED on the reserve chute.

Not true.  While on student status, they're required to have an AAD.  Once licensed (usually around 25 jumps), the AAD is optional.  The student requirement is per USPA (United States Parachuting Association) and is not a law or FAA regulation.  I believe European countries may have stricter requirements.

The AAD opens the reserve automatically at relatively low altitude if the device detects that descent is at a high rate of speed.  From the video it appears that all the jumpers all landed under their mains which means they were conscious and pulled rather than the AAD firing.

I dunno looked more like a controlled demolition to me.  Did you see how the one plane wing sheared off in a completely straight line?  That wouldn't just happen so neatly in an accidental collision.

Valid reasons to jump out of a plane:

1.  ON FIRE AND TUMBLING EARTHWARD!
2.  ?

It was a practice run for government drones to kill speeding porches.  The complete lack of evidence is proof the conspiracy is working.

I'm now imagining regaining consciousness, kinda groggy, thinking "oh man my head hurts why's it so bright I feel like everything's spinning", and then realizing you're in free fall. Yikes!

Looks like our GTA Online sessions. However we tend to have a Heli nearby to chop up the stragglers that manage to deploy their chutes.
