Although on a second viewing the "Fark you, Kinect" was met with an "Invalid Command"

From personal experience, you have to buy another Xbox One and TV when the former goes through the latter.

Damn those graphics are incredible. I'm not even a gamer and I want one. It's pretty creepy that it can listen in on what you're saying though. How is the NSA involved in this?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines...

Oh, and in TFV, who's the dude on the sidelines with the thing with the white circle? Is that some coach with a cane, or is that what the jizz-mop looks like, and they now make the mopper wear a farking suit?

You can see at 4 seconds in that it's the sweat mopper guy, and he's wearing a hoodie, not a suit.

Hell, about 4 second in is when I noticed the guy, and it doesn't really like he's mopping, he's really just standing there, doesn't go out on the court, and looks like he's supporting his weight on it more than anything, that's why I asked.

As for the hoodie, it looks like crap, considering how detailed the rest of the graphics are, but at least I notice the hood now.

My ex-adoptive parents keep dropping off boxes of my toys and stuff that they've had since I lived with them. Recently, I got my original 'Merlin'(With the Box), my 6-million Dollar Man watch, and my Mattel Football game, all still working!  :-) Never had a basketball one, but I really, REALLY wanted the nice baseball ones they had, did you ever see these?

Actually kind of the opposite... They said I had all of these behavioral problems, and shuttled me off immediately. 2 months, and 3 hospitals later, people started to wake up. A few years later, the houseparent at the group home I was at asked if I would mind being the subject of his Sociology paper. A few months after hearing my actual story without being told first that I was a "pathological liar" and "nothing I said could ever be trusted", the state severed the adoption and I became a Ward of the Court. preferable, actually. Even 30 years later, when my aunt drops shiat off, my wife can see just how manipulative and dishonest the biatch is, and my wife would actually tell me if she thought I was wrong.

It was the best outcome possible, but it made me bitter about family holidays for a LONG time.

This is also in the current FIFA game (and it was in the last one as well).

It's also in use in Dead Rising 3, you can use it to attract zombies to the noise.

Sometimes the simple games are the best... The football is more of a Zen builder than trying to play Madden for 10 minutes to wind down.

Wow.  I'm glad that eventually it all got figured.

Reading that, my mind immediately went to the Rosenhan Experiment.  And think of it, even with that background I still consider you in the upper-50th percentile of sanity when compared to other Farkers.

Yeah, the final stay was in the Az State Hospital, the other two had been 2 weeks each while waiting for space, I guess. When they had my first staffing(Meeting to discuss your status, setbacks and accomplishments in the previous month), they called me in, explained what the staffing was and immediately said "Someone screwed up, you don't belong here.", and I was in the group home within the week. I 'think' the giveaway was that I never had to be sedated and strapped down in the "Quiet Room'. Which actually exists... The one at the state hospital was a small windowless room with a restraint table in the center and a bolted door. You could either drink the spiked orange juice or get an injection. Could have been fun, just for the free drugs, I guess. :-)

You're right. The sweat-mopper's hoodie just doesn't stand up to the graphic demands of the current generation.

I don't know.... The jacket on that dude actually LOOKS like a jacket. My point is: They got all flashy with individual player faces and left this dude looking like the Crypt Keeper, it's kinda lame, IMHO.

He looks to be about on par with a Sims 3 character to me.

The bigger offense is that the mop is just a perfect circle on the ground.

Actually I think that's a Sims 2 character now that I look at the link name. Oh well. Just imagine that but slightly better.

Either way I really don't care if they even included a mop guy.

Actually, that was really my initial point. I haven't watched NBA in at least 12 years, so I had wondered if they switched to some circular Swiffer-type mop with a removable head or(As I originally asked also) if the dude was some disabled coach I didn't know about that had some high tech cane with a big wide foot on it, maybe for things just like a slippery NBA court... As much fun as we've had, I really DID wonder about that.

...and I learned something new on fark.

My favorite part may be:

The second part of his study involved an offended hospital administration challenging Rosenhan to send pseudopatients to its facility, whom its staff would then detect. Rosenhan agreed and in the following weeks out of 193 new patients the staff identified 41 as potential pseudopatients, with 19 of these receiving suspicion from at least 1 psychiatrist and 1 other staff member. In fact Rosenhan had sent no one to the hospital.

That Rosenhan sure knew how to troll.

Oh, good. Someone's trying to do something about the 10 year olds on Xbox Live using cuss words they don't actually understand to avenge themselves after getting their asses beat in a game they also don't actually understand.

/Kinect does not record audio/visual data and send it to some clandestine location for analysis
//for one thing, it would be WAY too expensive to do!

2013-12-05 03:16:33 PM
I can see the Kinect integration to the next Halo game being marketed as an exercise tool.  When the 10 year olds kill your and call you names, they actually have to get up and squat a few times in front of the kinect to do the teabag maneuver on your lifeless corpse.
