Di Atribe: That is incorrect. Seahawks fans (although not you & Shame Us so much) have been pretty consistent at being awful about it. Seven years ago & they still can't let it go. It's pathetic.

I admit I am guilty of this, but I apologized.  Since I've been able to watch the Cowboys more this year, I've let it go.  Romo's better than that.

rickythepenguin: harleyquinnical: I can't decide if the Cardinals are too high or too low.

ther'es a ton of talent defensively.  P2 and Mathieu, Karlos Dansby should be all pros.  Dansby should have, and i'm not kidding, at least 6 if not 7 INTs.  HE'S A DEFENSIVE END.  he had a pick six two weeks ago but he's dropped a ton of passes.

the o line is the biggest problem.  our #1 pick overall (Cooper) went down in tranining camp, so we had to shuffle the line.  injury and, well, a guy that shouldn'tbe starting (Sowell) have resulted in just bad play.  we can't runt he ball as well sa we'd like, and when palmer doesn't get time, you can't complete passes.

dunno.  2nd in the West would be possible but no wild card this year.

Peterson I could see being all-pro, but Mathieu is not one of the top 2 corners in the league. Dansby is solid as well, but I don't think he makes the Top 4 LBs either. Both good players, but All-Pro is a tough tough team to make.

rickythepenguin: IAmRight: Also, did Brees have concussion symptoms prior to the game?

what about that weak sauce "hands to face" penalty where he snapped his head back like he got clocked my mike tyson.  i thought that temporarily, Mani Ginobili was under center.  flop bastard.

Eh, I didn't think the hit on Wilson merited a flag either so I called it a makeup call. Still maintain that Sherman's "unnecessary roughness" was a horrible call - you're allowed to hold WRs when the QB breaks the pocket, you can push them out of bounds, too. Hell, that was when I decided I liked Cortland Finnegan - on a play where a QB broke the pocket, he pushed the closest guy to him out of bounds, basically making him an ineligible receiver (unless the ball got tipped) for the rest of the play so he could chase the QB. That's smart sh*t.

IanMoone: Russell Wilson has still not tasted the salty tears of defeat when he starts in Seattle.

Hell, he hasn't lost at home since NC State. You could even include preseason in there for the hell of it and he still hasn't lost at home.

Statistically speaking, Romo is an elite QB. Dallas has failed to put a team capable of performing consistently around him, especially at RB though Murray is solid now. Has he been the victim of his own ill-timed failure? Yeah, a little bit and he admits it, but their mediocrity is not all on him. Mostly, it's on jerruh and garrett and wade phillips, but mostly jerruh for hiring those guys.

Rwa2play: IAmRight: Clash City Farker: Only Best Manning can beat Brady

I would think the best Manning would be the one that can make the playoffs every year.

Best Manning has two rings; last time I checked Peyton's only got one to his name.

Yes, the only measurement to a good QB is a ring.

Let's see.

Peyton is 2nd all time in pass yards, 2nd all time in pass completions, 2nd in all time touchdowns thrown, fastest ever to 50,000 yards, fastest ever to 60,000 yards, fastest to 4,000 completions, fastest to 400 passing touchdowns, 4x MVP, most seasons with at least 4,000 passing yards.....the list goes on and on and on.

The guy is going to be the greatest statistical passer the league has ever seen.

Sorry if he doesn't have two+ rings to meet your guidelines.

Well, Seattle can be nice if they want and give the Cards a win after beating the 49ers...leading to a whole offseason of 49ers fans crying about how Seattle "didn't want them in the playoffs."

I was surprised they didn't lose some ground in the power rankings after nearly choking to Houston.  Then I remembered this is the ESPN power rankings.

Sherman can shove Stills (who was just standing around in the endzone for no reason while Brees ran for his life...seriously, WTF dude?) OOB, but the got him for the unnecessary roughness. A legit call, I think. All he has to do is shove him a little, but he loads up and pops him from his blindside.

Good thing the Panther's front office didn't listen to "Fans" during the 1-3 start.  I'll take Cam over almost any QB in the league right now.

I am a huge Cam Newton fan and have been since his college days.   I get a bunch of grief for saying things like "I'd trade you Wilson for Newton right now, straight up."  I'm usually trolling when I do, but sometimes I mean it.

Which is a pretty lousy argument for the 49ers, especially if the Hawks beat them this week and the Giants next week.  At that point, it would be a matter of pride for them to finish with a franchise-best record of at least 14 and 2.  Heck, a win either this week or next gives the them the franchise-best road record.

FTFY.  When they came away from the Dolphins game, the same Dolphins with one of the most porous o-lines in the league right now, with only one sack I would take that as a sign the d-line isn't at 100% any more.

This week in our ongoing pack talk series, thecpt begins to question why the bears only went down one spot with a loss to the Vikings when the pack lost two after an unpossible tie, until ohmygawd that is a horrible sentence. when can we play and actually beat a good team this year and wholly crap can our defense ever show the fark up.

Sob...oh look the falcons are next. A nice litmus test to see if we should just give up

R. Fitzpatrick: 21/37 201 yards. Avg: 5.4, 1 TD 3 INT 1 Sack QBR 37.9 RTG 47.2

M Flynn: 10/20  139 yards, Avg: 7.0 0 TD, 1 INT 7 Sacks, QBR: 2.1 Rtg: 51.9

I guess maybe you could say Fitz screwed the pooch more with the INTs but 7 sacks? JEEEEEZ

The Bestest: 2nd in the West is pretty much guaranteed a wild card

i don't know.....i think the south gets it.  the norht is all farked up but....im not saying the West won't get the wC but....i think it's a coin flip at best.

Shame Us: Peterson I could see being all-pro, but Mathieu is not one of the top 2 corners in the league. Dansby is solid as well, but I don't think he makes the Top 4 LBs either. Both good players, but All-Pro is a tough tough team to make.

mathieu makes a ton of plays but he isn't he marquee "shutdown corner" a la Revis used to be, which is what the voters seem to favor.  as for Dansby, he only has 5 sacks on paper, but there was an article circa week 10 where he was furios about how he wasn't being credited with sacks or half sacks.  arians backed him up -- well of course he will -- by saying when they watch game tape, Dansby was all the time wrapping QBs up but inexplicably, the league's official scorekeepers werent' even giving him the half sack.  Dansby mad.  Dansby real mad.

and i forget if it is P2 or Fitzy, but one of them has a pregame ritual (this was just in the paper sunday, going to the INTs he's dropped) where he rubs his hands on Dansby's hands, and the quip was like, "i'm trying to give him some of my mojo so he can hang on to the ball.  Do you know how many passes he's dropped this year?"
