Yeah Niners!

I got to be honest though I'm a bit nervous about the game on Sunday with Seattle comming to town. Niners are on the upswing, hopefully we can kill some of Seattle's momentum.

/And their running back.

So the Jets stopped them too?

FuManchu7: togaman2k: Falcons Rise Up!

oh wait...

We only beat the Bills.

Rise up and lose draft position. I'm surprised they aren't trying the KC method of taking the first pick, then start rocking the wins next season.

I'm rooting for a slightly different outcome.  I'd love to see them enter the draft at #3 or #4 and trade back to just past #10 and pick up 5 or 6 additional picks for rounds 1-3.  We need more than just Clowney or a left tackle.  We need several good players instead of just one great one.

...god almighty that would be a trade raping of epic proportions. A 4th pick is worth 1800 points and a 10th is worth 1300. Even if you got 6 picks at the bottom of the 3rd round you'd still be absolutely crushing the other team on that deal.

Jesus, the Jags have a legit shot to go 7-9 with their remaining schedule. Not that they'll be favored...but they could beat all those teams.

he Eagles exploited a hole in Arizona's defense, with tight ends catching all three touchdowns. The Cardinals' defense has allowed the most yards and touchdowns by opposing tight ends.

on one hand, we've played some of the best in the game (Jimmy graham, gonzales, and i think both DET and HOU (?) had smoe monsters, so you hav eto account for that, but......yeah.  we've been getting ate the fark up by TEs.

bizarrely, it reflects how strong the secondary and line is.  P2 and Tyrann Mathieu are often drawn into the deep end of the pool, while the line is pretty serviceable.  But, when teams send the WRs on longer routes, we have to stretch with them, and that leaves that shiatty farking 8-yd release / dump to the TE wide the fark open in the open field.  there's constantly that big farking gap behind the line and the secondary, and teams have just carved us there.

with the los to the Eagles i am sticking a fork in the 2013 playoff run.  too much ground to cover.  hey, i don't feel bad.  i preducted 6-10 generously.

big question is what do we draft?  QB appearsssssss to be settled for the short term, but we should take one anywyas.  probably load up on the Oline as that's where / why Carsson has struggled, when he has struggled.

Orgasmatron138: Jster422: Looking at the rest of the season for the Bears...I think I'm most nervous about the Browns, as they are legitimately the only 'should beat' entry remaining.

Ow, my season!

If Briggs and Cutler can't come back, it doesn't matter if they limp into the playoffs; they will be summarily dismissed.

Oh, I'm well past playoff thoughts - all that remains to be salvaged this year is NOT having it be a year in which we lose to the Browns (twice, if we count pre-season).

I guess having three of your five linen being pro bowl caliber isn't enough?

As I said in my original rant, the problem isn't talent. They have as much talent as the best teams in the league. Their problem is a lack of heart. How else do you get pushed around by the Jets?

Good thing the Panther's front office didn't listen to "Fans" during the 1-3 start.  I'll take Cam over almost any QB in the league right now.

And if anybody knows about playing in a loud, hostile environment against a good team...it's him.

Others are probably more knowledgeable than I am on the subject.  I don't remember what it cost the Falcons to move up to get Julio Jones or what the big one was last year.  I don't usually care to expend brain energy remembering college recruits or anything draft related.

Plus the filter at work blocks pretty much anything that remotely references sports (except the Falcons and Braves sites because he has season tickets) so I can't really do any meaningful research.

No Gm would ever trade up 6 spots for 5 or 6 top of the draft picks. Absolutely ridiculous. Mayube you get a 2 in that deal. Maybe a 3 and a 4 or something, but no chance you pick up 5-6 picks for a #4 pick.

We just need the receivers to catch a few more balls--I'm looking at you Stone Hands Avery--and the defense to play with some more effort.  They looked dead during the second half.
And top 10 in the power ranking seems fair.  A vast improvement over seasons past.  Can't complain too much about the season right now.

Also, did Brees have concussion symptoms prior to the game? Because twice he tried to go deep on Sherman on third down and that's just pants-on-head retarded, especially when the rest of the Seahawks corners are playing up a peg.

/or maybe he just doesn't find it much fun trying to pick on the weaker links

ther'es a ton of talent defensively.  P2 and Mathieu, Karlos Dansby should be all pros.  Dansby should have, and i'm not kidding, at least 6 if not 7 INTs.  HE'S A DEFENSIVE END.  he had a pick six two weeks ago but he's dropped a ton of passes.

the o line is the biggest problem.  our #1 pick overall (Cooper) went down in tranining camp, so we had to shuffle the line.  injury and, well, a guy that shouldn'tbe starting (Sowell) have resulted in just bad play.  we can't runt he ball as well sa we'd like, and when palmer doesn't get time, you can't complete passes.

dunno.  2nd in the West would be possible but no wild card this year.

I think he figured there was pressure in his face, so his knee-jerk read is to the #1 WR on the right side running deep with a one-on-one match-up against the blitz. The problem is that the Seahawks were gettin gpressure without bringing much of a blitz and Richard Sherman is a grown-ass man. Also, IIRC the 1st one was to Meachum and the 2nd was to Stills. Not exactly a HOF tandem there.
