As opposed to shipping the dirty, dirty coal to China?  At least in drop-bear-land they have enough emission controls to prevent the impenetrable smog of Beijing.

I'm routinely in that yard for new builds.  That FLNG facility is truly awesome.  The big Maersk container ships and the massive new RO-RO's that Daeweoo and Samsung are building are tiny compared to the the Prelude.  Really amazing stuff.

One can immediately see the convenience of a floating refinery that can be positioned far away from any laws.
