I know TheBlaze probably gets a kickback from Fark, but why not just link to the original article instead?

I wonder if the computer running the projector got infected with some porn popups somehow. When I was watching Thor 2 and stayed until the end of the credits, the screen changed to a Windows XP desktop. I bet if they didn't set up their security right they could get easily compromised, especially if some employees were staying late streaming some porn on the big screen at the end of the night.

I don't know why, but this story smells a bit to me.  I would love to see it picked up by someone other than the local Fox station, a couple of affiliates and The Blaze.

Well whomever did it will be laughing hard, until he finds out that showing pornographic images to children under thirteen years of age, gets you a prison sentence, followed by a life on the sex offender registry in the state of Florida.

That sounds like a very plausible explanation. I can't forget the time my father told me of his old workplace, and how they bought a new laser cutter... which it uses Windows XP. One of the other crews used the computer for porn (had a net connection)... and got it infected with a virus that shut the cutter down. He no longer works there...

My personal favorite was the money-grubbing FB post they included at the end (mistakes from OP, included for your entertainment): "Absolutely not enough...my children do not watch anything that not intended for their little eyes. That kids movie is brand new so would be played all day, so no errors should have been made bc they aren't switching them out. I believe it was probably done on purpose by an immature teenage employee who thought it would be funny. Someone has to be held accountable, the movie theater management or its owners."

Even better, she edited that comment.

I have no love for the Blaze and no comment on that, but local FOX affiliates have nothing to do with FOXNews. FOX Network and FOXNews are totally separate companies, and the local news, like all network affiliates, is controlled by local ownership, not the network. I don't trust FOXNews much, but I don't think our local FOX station is in cahoots with them.

But as the alternative cartoon ran, somehow a sexually explicit clip also appeared on screen - one that reportedly played for just under two minutes.

That's about 90 seconds more than I would need, but thanks.

I think what scares me is that this woman is representative of a decent size portion of people in this world who absolutely believe that nothing upon nothing happens by accident, and if something happens to them, then it was targeted at them and someone should pay.

A little forgiveness goes a long way for peace of mind.

Experts say that children who saw the broadcast called it the 'greatest Flintstones episode ever!'" - Weekend Update with Norm MacDonald

"There were apparently some technical difficulties in getting the film to play, so the theater ran a different cartoon until the issues were resolved, WTVT-TV reported."

Uh, no.

The only question is whether the "explicit sex scene" was from Homefront, Dallas Buyers Club or Best Man Holiday.

"THEATER MISTAKENLY SHOWS TWO MINUTES OF R-RATED FILM TO CHILDREN" isn't quite as interesting.

2013-12-03 07:59:16 AM
Interesting,  I saw Hunger Games at the same theater this weekend.

"You're talking, what, a PG-rated movie to all of a sudden have an R-rated scene up there for little children?" she said. "My concern is that there should be safeguards in place so that this doesn't happen again."

When you become a parent do you automatically become a retard?  Does watching a few seconds of an R rated material video ruin a child's life?  If its just a sex scene just laugh it off and walk the kid out of the theater if you really don't want them to see it.

I guess they couldn't find a normal dad there with his kid, that said, "It was the funniest thing I ever saw when all these soccer moms started freaking out over a boob."

Hopefully I don't turn into a puritan when my kid is born.

Oh, this has nothing to do with it specifically being Fox, but more that it's a couple of regionals and a couple of websites that are of questionable journalistic integrity.  It seems like the kind of story that, if proved legitimate, would attract national coverage.

The truly pathetic thing is that people are actually trying to turn this into a political battle in the comments by asking if the prankster was an Obama voter or a Republican?
