This is like the Platonic Perfect Form of poutrage, that all other poutrage aspires to be.

I dunno. I thought whatever Farker said that they didn't realize Paul Walker was such a method actor made a far more uncouth remark about his death than Yglesias did in his entire article.

If you think AndrewBrietbart's opponents shouldn't be glad he's dead, you're not taking his life's work seriously.

I don't get why conservatives wouldn't agree with this.  If Breitbart was truly shining a light on lib cockroaches then those craven cowards would like nothing more than to slay the high prince of The Truth.

Right?

And Paul Walker was one of those? I didn't realize that. I don't really know the guy, but I haven't read of him slaughtering puppies or leading massive pedophile rights crusades. All I knew about him is that he GOT CAST in some silly movies, a few of which were actually not that bad. Seriously, if multiple movies n a franchise s your criteria, I'd guess that we shouldn't have Johnny Depp riding around in any Porches any time soon. And how many movies rates a death wish from you? Is Chevy Chase still safe, even though they made 4 Vacation films?

Yglesias didn't say that about Paul Walker, and I didn't suggest it. That's not what the article is primarily outraged about, either.

That's funny.... That's what the whole article was about, the guy's inappropriate hate-for-clicks piling on. Paul Walker was the most recent example, and since TFH, TFA and TFH of TFA were all talking about Walker, without you mentioning anything else, it's only understandable that we non-psychic farkers would miss your hidden meaning.

The Googles Do Nothing: The author thought Tokyo Drift was awesome.

The one in Rio with The Rock was actually far better than I expected, although it wasn't good enough that I can remember which number it was, I just watched because it was on HBO one night and nothing else was on. Still a fun enough movie.

I never watched Tokyo Drift, but from the previews, it just looked like people squealing around curves throughout the whole movie.

Mikey1969: hate

No. There was no hate of Paul Walker mentioned, just exploitation of his death. The hate was for Breitbart and Tim Russert, and that discussion takes up the bulk of the article.

You're not super-bright, are you?

Remember kids, your IQ drops for every paragraph you read from The Daily Caller.

//also, a "Who is Paul Walker?" (akin to "Who is Tyler Durden?") trailer prefacing every segment about him for the next few days of media coverage would be nice for those imbeciles who have even watched the Fast & Furious franchise and didn't realize what oxygen poaching meat puppet they were viewing on the big screen.

Same thing here.  However, with that remake of "Road House" in the works, that would be a good line near the end of hte movie, when the bad guy gets it and the police show up, "I was going to see what was happening to Brad Wessley,  but a pack of winter coats attacked me without warning so I clicked off."

There ought to be a measure of courtesy involved though. Not everybody is Bin Laden. If there's someone I consider a political opponent I'm generally going to be outwardly polite even if I'm inwardly not all that sorry they're gone. Even someone with whom I disagree on a great many things likely has someone who loved them and on other things we might have even gotten along great.

If there's a long list of people for whose demise one might cheer and say publicly happy things, I might suggest visiting a counselor to try and discover the roots of one's misplaced rage. Throwing out societal conventions ought not to be done too lightly... one never knows who or why they might do it for you.

Yes, exactly, the point I was trying to make.  Did you think changing the words changed the meaning?  Sorry to disappoint - it didn't.

CNN'S BLITZER UNSURE IF WALKER/SLATE CONTROVERSY GOOD THING OR BAD THING

Despondent alleged newsman "just wants to know"

ASSOCIATED PRESS, DEC. 2, 2013 -- CNN newshound and facial hair model Wolf Blitzer today reiterated his confusion as to whether the death of "Fast & Furious" franchise star Paul Walker and the subsequent controversy created by Matt Yglesias' insensitive tweets was a "good thing" or a "bad thing".

"Obviously it's a bad thing for Paul Walker, and it's a bad thing for the franchise" mused the professional CNN coatrack whose confirmation to Jack Cafferty that bloated ubermodel Anna Nicole Smith was "still dead" made him the toast of the journalistic elite. "But what about this tweeting stuff? I honestly don't know. Ooh look, buttons!"

Mikey1969: Is Chevy Chase still safe, even though he made 4 Vacation films?

Actually, Chase is going to be around for a long, long time. Remember his ill-fated talk show of some years back? That was actually part of some Faustian bargain he made for a long life. Most people perform a human sacrifice of some sort - Chevy sacrificed his career. You may not remember, but he had an awesome career in the 70's and 80's. That all came to an end after the talk show.

So now Chevy Chase will live a long, long life. Unfortunately he didn't read the fine print on the deal because we're all seeing the life he's forced to live.

Seriously, I understand most farkers cannot be bothered to read the article, but are you really getting upset at someone else who DID read the article and posted a comment on it?  Over half the article was about stuff other than Paul Walker.

So you missed his "hidden" meaning when he first said it (and let us correct that statement to be factually accurate: you inferred something not actually implied, taking his text for more than it was).  Fine, but you are now continuing to be pissy instead of just accepting the mis-communication and moving on.

Somebody pissed in your cheerios this morning I guess.

I actually had more respect for Osama Bin Laden than Breitbart. Breitbart causes real damage too, though more difficult to quantify, but was just a coward talking head who quite possibly didn't even believe his schtick.  Bin Laden gave up an exceptionally comfortable life to push his cause.

Never saw the guy in a movie and was totally indifferent to news of his death, but I gotta say I am now beginning to hate him because I'm sick of his name showing up constantly in headlines like he was the freaking Pope or something.

Wow, people on the right are still butthurt about the reaction to the death of the Brentwood Speedbump? The blindness of the right to their own hatefullness is amazing. There are liberal bloggers I like who I know will not get teary eyed tributes from the right when they die. And I understand completely. If you spend your life attacking someone in nasty terms, people aren't sad to see you go. Why can't the right figure that out about Breitbart?

Well it is understandable. They're a party made up of old white men who are all lining up to be next in the pine box.

So they want try and insist on respecting them when they go even though they never gave any respect when they were alive.
