So this was all a publicity stunt, then?

2013-12-02 09:57:22 AM
"It's Paul's tour de force. He's in every frame of the movie."

It already sounds excruciatingly terrible.

2013-12-02 10:02:31 AM
He got out-acted by a tree. He's special, that way.

2013-12-02 10:03:29 AM
omfg, how many seperate Paul Walker threads do you need? Wouldn't it just be easier to start a new tab?

The worst part of his death will be the elevation of Tyrese to Co-Lead Actor.

Even if this movie is good and his acting is superb, he doesn't have a "make-good" in his favor for Oscar consideration.  HL won the Oscar for Brokeback Mountain, they just said it was for playing the Joker.

Ehh, I was bored of this story when it was called "The life of James Dean"

Who gives a shiat?

How long will the press tour be?

2013-12-02 12:28:16 PM
Why was Paul Walker riding in the passenger side anyway?

I hardly ever see two middle aged men riding the same car around here.

2013-12-02 12:31:10 PM
Wonder what he's going to wear to the premier, maybe a bronze or silver urn by Versace.

2013-12-02 12:32:48 PM
I wasn't a huge fan, despite him representing us blond blue eyed fellas in the action genre, but now reading up on the guy, he sounded like a real nice guy, down to earth, charitable... Its a shame.

I always thought it was a figurative rather than a literal thing.  I feel a little bit older today.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm 51 and feel like I just hit middle age...

Oh, are we going to pretend he was a good actor now?  Paul Walker made Keanu Reeves look like Daniel Day-Lewis.

I'd laugh if I didn't think this would actually happen.

If Heath Ledger didn't die, not only would he not even been nominated for an Oscar, he would have been mocked for doing a crappy 2 hour Little Nicky with a dry mouth impersonation. I couldn't get into his performance because I was waiting for him to say how much he loved Popeye's chicken. But hey...he died, so give him an Oscar.

I agree with half this statement.  It was a good performance, but nothing spectacular.

No...not really.

People made the same comments right when the movie came out (pre deification). He wasn't channeling some Oscar winning performance like Marlon Brando or Meryl Streep. Listen to a clip of Little Nicky, then listen to Heath Ledger's Oscar winning performance...it's 95% the same voice and 5% lip smacking. It doesn't matter how much of a boner you have over him. It's true.

Carried on.

Oh I don't have some great respect for his performance. Its good, and a different take on the character. Its not great, and certainly not oscar worthy. I just disagree with your analysis.

Sorry to disappoint you about your homo-erotic fantasies.

There's not really any question that Ledger winning for Dark Knight was an apology Oscar for not giving it to him when they should have.

He was good as the Joker, but let's be honest. If he was still alive, that Oscar would be on Robert Downey Jr's shelf right now.

Seriously was watching Pleasantville Saturday night, and the SO was all 'That's the guy from the Fast & Furious movies, isn't it?'  me:  "hell if I know'  SO:  'Sure looks like him.  He died today, BTW.' I was shocked 1.) that he was young, and 2.)  The SO, who pays almost no attention to anything pop cultury, knew that before I did.

So, what I realized - no good can come from watching Reese Witherspoon movies.
