Look, it's just herring. Like it or not, no reason to get upset about it.

Kinda sad when a sportscaster doing an impression of Ron Burgundy is better than Ron Burgundy being Ron Burgundy.

They are *really* advertising this thing hard.  That usually doesn't mean good things about the product.

Seems odd to be releasing it around Christmas when the first was a summer movie.

I liked his comment about the one town being known for it's fairground and church, but that the squad car also really sticks out.

He's about to crash the Canadian Olympic curling trials. Because if there's a demographic likely to see Anchorman 2, it's the 75-90 group that finds curling interesting.

When there wasn't much else to watch at the bar I'd frequent back in the day, curling wasn't that bad.  I'd take it over golf any day.

36 and male.  I enjoy watching curling.  Granted I am Canadian but it's interesting.  Once you understand the physics and strategy in the sport you come to appreciate it.  Much like golf actually.

I'd watch golf with brooms, actually.

I like it too, am 30 and...Canadian. I think that people like it because it's a really easy to understand game with lots of choices. If you're watching it with other people, everybody can grasp the main strategy of it and then go to the next level of discussion fairly easily making it a super accessible spectator sport. It's a great game.

Having these two comments back-to-back makes me happy for some inexplicable reason.

30. Canadian.

I think one of the reasons I find curling so interesting is that the TSN commentators (Vic and Russ and the lady) are very good at what they do. They explain the strategy enough that the average dude can get it, but they don't dumb it down too much. Like the exact opposite of the average Canadian hockey commentator.

Curling thread? 30, American and just joined my CC when the Olympia used by my rink isn't busted. It gives me something to do on Saturday nights at the very least.

As for the film, they're trying way too damn hard to have their campaign go viral in any capacity

I'm 31 and American and I love curling. Hell, we took off to Niagara Falls one night back when I was in college, spent the better part of day drinking in the hotel and watching curling.

Speaking of which I gotta be at the gym in 25 min

Only way I could watch golf without stabbing myself to make it stop would be to take golf off the grass and slap it on some ice.  Now that would qualify as "sport."

Oh, and by "unwashed masses" are you referring to Rob Ford?

That's a large part of what made it so douchey, Normal people round to 5, 10, 15 minute intervals for casual things.  Uptight people trying to sound important get overly specific.

If you're going to use a meme, do it right.

Some of those folks in the comments section need to lighten the fark up. It's just schtick. Nobody said it was gonna change the world. I expected it to be somewhat humorous, and that's what I got.
