That was a hell of a return after the missed field goal.

Gotta root for Michigan State though next week

One of my least favorite things is not playing to win. And as somebody pointed out, there are just as many things that can go wrong with a hail mary, including fumbling the snap, which 'Bama had trouble with more than once.

Forget about things going wrong.  Watching the game, I thought 'Bama had a better shot at winning on a hail mary than a field goal.

Hilarious...!

After watching the Ducks implode on an epic scale this season I can at least have some comfort in knowing Alabama isn't a lock for the BCS.

/Oregon wouldn't have stood a chance if they had somehow made it to the championship game, anyway

Having the opponent return a missed field goal 108 yards for a touchdown is so unlikely that blaming Saban for not considering the possibility is foolhardy.  Besides, it had to have seemed at least as unlikely as the hail mary being picked off and returned for a touchdown or the snap being fumbled and returned for a touchdown.

The real LOL will be when the new BCS standings come out. Due to tOSUs narrow win over Michigan, the fact that the Big Ten sucks azz, and Auburn beating Bama there is a really good chance Auburn jumps tOSU.

Remember when OSU got destroyed by LSU and Florida and then only beat Arkansas (a shiat tier team) by the skin of their teeth when some of their suspended players magically got back on the team a week before the game started?

Remember when OSU hasn't played a single competent team all season and FSU has completely wrecked Miami and Clemson, without a shadow of a doubt as to dominance?

Because I remember.  OSU has never lived up to its hype and FSU is unstoppable.

I believe FSU is unstoppable too, but let's call a spade a spade and admit that Miami isn't that good this year.  They're not ranked, they lost their division to Duke, and Wisconsin is better than them.  Yes, FSU is awesome, but where is this love for Miami coming from?  It's not the 80's anymore.

Can you really call that a "Hail Mary", though? It looked to me like a 30-yard pass from the 45-yard line...not even sniffing the end zone on that.

Everything is 20/20 in retrospect, but at least with a last-ditch pass, you'll at least have some personnel who can match up to prevent a possible return. There were three, maybe four, Alabama players on the field who were even a remote threat to stop the Auburn returner.

Starting kicker had a horrible night. He shanked two field goals. Saban pulled him and put in the redshirt freshman backup kicker (who had kicked 3 fgs all year I believe) for the 57-yarder.

You know he's a scrub when his number is 99. If I were that kid, I'd be pissed as hell at Saban - Saban set him up to fail.

I also love the fact that Saban was so pissed he walked off the field immediately after his shiatty call lost Bama the game, without congratulating Malzahn.

He's a real class act, Saban.
