Anyone want to take a guess as to who the robber was, and which one got robbed? Reeaaallly hard to figure out just from the picture alone.

Great. I kept thinking about the day my middle-school bully came up to me to apologize for the hell he'd put me through, and offered his hand to me. That was a good day.

I was mugged about 35 years ago.  The only way I'd accept an apology from the thugs that did it would be if hey paid me back with interest and also included a new wallet.  Seriously fark people who violently steal from others.

Oh, and I get to jab them in the chest with screwdrivers too.

I thought it was cool that he was being a mensch for a change, and seemed sincere about his regret. He was always decent to me after that, and I respected him a lot more.

I have no idea why, but in 6th grade, I used to pick on this kid.  Actually, the whole bus did.  I always felt a little bad about it.  He had gotten into a fight with my best friend (a fight my friend started no less) and since that day, we picked on him, at least for a few months, then we kind of let it go.  I was a bit of a tough guy when I was young, and had no qualms about fighting etc.  I spent 40 days in home suspension in 8th grade due to fighting, almost didn't make it through the year academically. However, I would stop short of calling myself a bully,  usually, if I was fighting, it was some equally "tough guy" chowderhead, and by ninth grade, I had all but stopped the tough guy BS.

Anyways, fast forward about 12 years, and I ran into him at a diner.  And, he was farking Frankenstein huge.  No shiat.  A full 6 inches taller than me, and just massive.  He actually said hi first, and I think my Weeners was "Hey, uh, please don't kick the shiat out of me"  And I was serious.  He just laughed, and I apologized to him.

I will also add, I thought it very magnanimous of him to not curb stomp me in retaliation.

So... He didn't actually succeed on mugging the guy. If I'm reading TFA right. He "asked" for the pass and cops arrested him, yes?

Not really a news story. An anecdote at best. A CSB in the comments sort of thing.

Reading this makes me think of the day a bully I knew failed out of college and broke a leg fleeing the cops while drunk (basically ran off a cliff in the dark).

Tbh if he is still the same mean selfish ass, I hope he is in prison now, ten years later, for some other terrible decision.

The "Stand Your Ground" laws need to be modified a bit, to include retaliation.
