I'm not sure why the headline pretends that Mike Tyson and Pigeons is something people don't know.

Fano: Tyson is my kind of psycho scum

He's done terrible things, though it's clear he's doing his best to turn it all around.  I've read interviews he's done in the last few months where he comes off as very sincere in his efforts to be a better person.  He's doing group therapy and is trying to quit booze.  He even apologized to Holyfield in person, which is something that gave him a lot of anxiety.

I'm not defending what he's done in the past, but it's good to see someone try to better themselves.

Tyson's animals have always seemed a great consolation to him.

FTA:  Is it true that you had so much sex in prison that you were too tired to work out?
Yeah, I had a female counsellor and we'd do it for a long time. I had some good days in there.

Way to go Indiana, I'm so proud of us.

Tyson even gave back Holyfield's ear.

I saw, first, that he had a book, and that it was on Audible. I was disappointed to see it was narrated by someone else.

You think people know that?  I had no idea.

Seriously, some boxer who bit a dude's ear off and got a face tattoo.  That's the extent of my knowledge of Tyson.  You think everyone worships celebrities as much as you do?

Since I don't follow boxing or pigeon fancying it was news to me too.

The 2008 documentary about him, called "Tyson" is amazing--it's just him talking about his life (you never hear the interviewer's questions) and clips of his fights.  Tyson has a very unique way of articulating his thoughts, and it's very interesting to hear his unvarnished take on the major events in his life.  And the old footage of his fights--he was a powerhouse.  I think it's still on Netflix, and if you're at all into boxing or interested in Tyson, it's worth a watch.

You missed the part that got all rapey, which was pretty big news, but yeah I had not idea about the pigeons, tigers, etc.

Check out "The Undisputed Truth"...Just Mike up on stage talking about his life, but he is a great storyteller.   It was hilarious when he was talking about his dispute with Mitch Green.

No, but some people have occasionally used Fark in the last, what, 8 years? So, you know, odd things come up.

I've read 3 articles about Tyson in my life and they all mentioned pigeons.

I hear there is this movie called "Star Wars 3" or something, and there's this Admiral guy, and he looks kind of funny, and then there's this trap... apparently, it's big on the internet also.

All I know about Star Wars is that it was about wars that took place in the stars. You think everyone is hard core movie buff that goes to Cannes every year?

Yeah, it's pretty much the only thing most people know about him.

Mike Tyson
Boxer
Squeaky Voice
Likes Pigeons

Really?  Biting the ear off of his opponent in a match was sort of newsworthy.  He made a big deal out of his face tattoo, so that was sort of unavoidable, but other than that, who the hell cares?

I'm not being a dick about it, I just don't subscribe to People magazine, nor do I follow Perez Hilton on Twitter.  So forgive me if I had no idea he kept pigeons.

Can't tell if your 14 years old or just very good at trolling.

In either case, this will help all you youngsters get up to speed. He didn't so much have fists, per se, as just two concussion-machines attached to his arms.

I think time still playing on HBO. Or at least, it should be available with their "On demand" programming. It was a great show, I couldn't pull myself away from it because I remember Mike in his prime, and the man has had a crazy life.

Even my wife went from standing in the hallway to "just watch a minute" on her way to another room, and 10 minutes later gave me the, "Ok, this is way better than I expected" comment and plopped onto the couch next to me for the rest of the show. And if SHE liked it, anyone will like it.
