(Missoulian)   New owners of sawmill property hassle nearby residents, try to push them out. Just kidding; they revive mill's tradition of handing out Thanksgiving turkeys, and enlist members of college's football team to help dole out the birds   (missoulian.com) divider line 24

fta "Do you have gloves, you guys?" Denise asked the football players.

Alas, their winter gear was not plentiful.

"Silly boys."

She wrapped a blanket, maroon of course, around McKinley's shoulders.

You rock, Miss Denise

Its nice to see people doing this for Thanksgiving, today I had a turkey I cooked for most of my tenants. Most of them are on social security and couldn't afford a turkey dinner - so I cooked one up.

/6 hours in the kitchen slaving, but worth every minute when you see their eyes light up

This is the kind of thing that makes me laugh at those who laugh at those of us who live in flyover country.

Reads the headline. Why would a sawmill try to push nearby residents out?

Being by myself, I was going to just buy a little turkey breast to cook formyself this year. The other day as I was running errands in the neighborhood, a woman stopped me and asked "do you have your turkey yet?" I said no, and she said "then go around this fence to the truck and get one! We're giving them away to everyone today!" I went, and sure enough, a couple guys unpacked a shipping container, lifted out a 13-pound turkey and gave it to me, wishing me a happy holiday. That rocked.
