Yeah--it's certainly no worse that what Martin Bashir says-and that's on the air.   But he shows up on time and doesn't yell at everyone on the set.

He should do a show with Lara Logan

2013-11-26 06:11:46 PM
I am sure he is sobbing at the breast of his hot yoga instructor wife, or throwing a naked tantrum in his piles of TV syndication cash.

He'll get over it.

I was a little more surprised that Bashir got a pass for the Palin comments

"Our free stuff today is being paid for today by taking money from our children and borrowing from China," she said. "When that money comes due and - this isn't racist, so try it, try it anyway, this isn't racist - but it's going to be like slavery when that note is due. Right? We are going to be beholden to a foreign master."

An outraged Bashir criticized Palin for the comments on air with a bizarre reference to cruel form of punishment from a journal entry written by Thomas Thistlewood, an 18th-century plantation worker.

"In 1756, he records that a slave named Darby 'catched eating kanes had him well flogged and pickled, then made Hector, another slave, sh-t in his mouth,'" Bashir said.

"When Mrs. Palin invokes slavery, she doesn't just prove her rank ignorance. She confirms if anyone truly qualified for a dose of discipline from Thomas Thistlewood, she would be the outstanding candidate."

He is merely saying things that ALL Liberals say, because all Liberals are a hivemind.  They are so filled with hatred for all that is good and holy and decent, and they simply can't help but let that hatred spill out all over the place.  God, I hate them so.

Hayes and Maddow aren't shrill. Not that I've noticed anyway. Ed Shultz though, ugh.

That business got out of control. It got out of control, and we're lucky to have lived through it.

It told me a lot about Baldwin when I found out that the scene he has in Glengarry Glen Ross was written specifically for him, it was not written for anyone else. Seems he's as much a jerk as that character.

ABC = Always Be Closing, Alec.

You know all that slavery shiat that happened awhile back and all the bad stuff that came along with it?  Yeah, I know what it's like, I pay taxes.

And if anyone dares suggest I find out what it was actually like to be a slave, they should be fired immediately.

August11: I think he has a God complex.

www.filmsnmovies.com
I have an M.D. from Harvard, I am board certified in cardio-thoracic medicine and trauma surgery, I have been awarded citations from seven different medical boards in New England, and I am never, ever sick at sea. So I ask you; when someone goes into that chapel and they fall on their knees and they pray to God that their wife doesn't miscarry or that their daughter doesn't bleed to death or that their mother doesn't suffer acute neural trama from postoperative shock, who do you think they're praying to? Now, go ahead and read your Bible, Dennis, and you go to your church, and, with any luck, you might win the annual raffle, but if you're looking for God, he was in operating room number two on November 17, and he doesn't like to be second guessed. You ask me if I have a God complex. Let me tell you something: I am God.

The repubs were pretty good at acting out the hive mind for a while. Then the tea party showed up and is grossly messing up their system.

Really? I am not a Palin fan, personally think she is an idiot and attention seeker,  but he basically implied for her opinion she should be beaten and someone should shiat in her mouth.  Not on his own time, at work, scripted and approved. just not really professional and beneath a guy that tries to come off as morally above

I had high hopes for Hayes but his show is just silly. It seems like the production staff assumes (fairly or not) that most people tuning in are idiots with no attention span. He's way too jumpy in his interviews for me, but I could see him becoming the heir apparent to Maddow (he was always my favorite guest host).

I'm with you on Ed, though. Listening to him rail on and on about unions and class....ehhh no thanks.

"Shrill" to right wingers means "won't stop saying things I don't like".

I'm pretty liberal, but you couldn't pay me to watch MSNBC. Even Rachel Maddow beats dead horses night after night. I like her, but I can't stand how LONG it takes everyone to restate their well-known opinions.

/Fox is worse. MSNBC may be annoying, but they don't constantly lie and make up stuff the way Bullshiat Mountain does.

"I don't give a f - - k if she has cancer or not, I want that f - - king makeup room."

Alec, that's not what people mean when they say "f--k cancer".

MSNBC isn't shrill and derisive. (Although, to be fair & balanced, I should say I can't stomach "Rev." Al Sharpton.)
MSNBC tells it like is, in my opinion.

Fox News IS shrill and derisive. And divisive.

Oh, and Martin Bashir was an idiot for taking Palin so seriously that he stepped in it with both feet all by himself. Hasn't he figured out her sole reason for existence is to draw the other team offsides?

Throw in Wolf Blitzer, Candy Crowley and just about all the rest of them.  The quality of "professional" journalism in Amerika is a disgrace.

\\\ And they are also going broke in large numbers.

2013-11-26 07:13:25 PM
On a semi-related note: I like MSNBC in general (if I was a creepy weirdo I would probably stalk Crystal Ball) but I got to ask what is up with them showing Lockup or whatever prison show it is late at night for several hours.  I guess it must get the viewers or something but it seems a little incongruous with the rest of their programming.
