The thought of Atlanta and Houston battling it out for the first pick makes me happy. Go Jags!

Well, gosh, what a coincidence that #1 and #2 square off on Monday Night on ESPN. I am sure that had nothing to do with the decision to stick the Saints in the #2 slot. Nothing at all.

And hilariously enough, the next NFL Network game is between #31 and #32. THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: IT'S (technically speaking) PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL.

That's just ONE factor in choosing teams for power rankings in the National Football League.

After all the bluster & smugness coming out of Houston prior to this season, I must admit: this is pretty satisfying.

No, NFL Network gets this week off. This Thursday night game is Pittsburgh/Baltimore on NBC. They put the Thankgsiving night game on the network last year because it'd be great entertainment while you're digesting, and they were rightly paid off with the Butt Fumble game.

30 Falcons 2-9 -- Last Week: 30 Atlanta is the only team in the top 21 in Total QBR (sixth) to not have at least five wins. The Falcons look for win No. 3 Sunday against the Bills.
LOL! Matty Ice is too good to lose to the Bills. Total QBR mandates a win for such a clutch player. Total QBR cannot be denied.

On last night's MNF, they were already hyping it as the the biggest, most spectacular, must-see late-season clash of the titans on MNF in the history of ever.  "This the first time two teams with records like this in the late season have ever met on Monday Night Football!  Um, except for that time 20 or 30 years ago when the 10-1 Niners met the 10-1 Giants.  But other that, this is best game ever!!  You would have to be some kind of asshole to miss this one!  You don't want to be an asshole, do you?!?"

More... how is Denver ahead of New England?

The "Power Rankings" try to look way too much at the record strictly.... if two teams are within 1 game of each other, and the team with the lower record just beat the team with the higher record... they probably should be ahead of them.  Granted it was an OT game, but, Denver totally blew a big lead... that should be a huge concern.

On the upside, unless ESPNs website is wrong, apparently our home game against the Panthers next week has been moved from noon to the Sunday night spot. Which means a Dome full of well-lubricated Who Dats yelling in drunken fury on defense.

So that's nice.

Which was totally expected, since the SNF was ATL @ GB and FOX already was protecting SEA vs. SF, so, that was totally going to be moved into prime time.

True, but I think the NE win is still considered more dramatic and "Oh shiat" than the Carolina win. Both teams were crap at one point, but NE also pulled off a win from their largest deficit ever. So there's that.

I agree, they should both be higher, but looking at it that way, I can see the argument for pushing NE higher than Carolina.
