SurfaceTension: One quibble: Kate Hudson DID play the main female character in Almost Famous. Her part was rather significant.

And a list fails without:

Steven Seagal's character died about 10 minutes into the film.

---Actually, I liked the fact that Steven Seagal had top billing but got killed in the first 10 minutes.  It was a good plot twist, most people expected Seagal to last the whole movie.  I think the point of the article was more for early movies where the actors had a small role but is exaggerated once they become famous.

This is LITERALLY the most famous version of this, and it wasn't in the article?

Or how about THIS:

Bet both of them are glad no one saw that squalid wet fart of a movie, and moreover buried it in their catalog so that I bet people wouldn't have known they were in it. In fact, I bet it WAS buried at the time, or Rene would never have had a career.

This.

Same thing with Psycho. Janet Leigh got top billing. Viewers were absolutely gobsmacked when she got killed off after only 30 minutes.
