This is maybe the laziest trolling of Seahawk fans I've seen outside of ESPN comments.

Shame Us: This is maybe the laziest trolling of Seahawk fans I've seen outside of ESPN comments.

At least the laziest since yesterday when desperate-mitter submitted the exact same headline.

I think it's cute that there are still people out there that think doping isn't fairly wide spread in sports

2013-11-25 04:48:25 PM
It's cute that pot is now a PED (though I suppose that you're reading this idiotic article instead of something that actually did some research).

Too bad the fact that it's legal within the state (the rule that helped the Williamses get away with banned substance use in Minnesota) doesn't apply here.

Also, hey, it's nice how every year the league finds a way to suspend someone when we start getting a little TOO good. Oh well, even without those guys we STILL have a better secondary than most of the league. Besides, the LBs are the ones getting tested the most against New Orleans.

2013-11-25 04:48:52 PM
If subby actually read anything, he'd know this wasn't a PED.  Not that it's a whole lot better.

To be fair, any athlete that can perform at a high level in professional sports on weed is pretty impressive.

Peter von Nostrand: I think it's cute that there are still people out there that think doping isn't fairly wide spread in sports

No one thinks that. The funny part is getting caught. Multiple times by players on the same team.

The thing that's cute is Seattle fans getting all butthurt about it. As you said, who cares since PED use is obviously rampant on football and sports in general? But that won't stop all the new Seahawks fans from crying about this headline or offering up some conspiracy theory to explain the cheating.

I dunno, when it's obviously rampant throughout the league and one team is getting suspended on par with the teams getting the most suspensions in the league and its division rival has received no suspensions, despite having drug management issues of their own, like a certain Aldon Smith who apparently passed his "tests" despite it having been discovered that he was doing pot as well.

/and again, this is pot. Specifically says in every competent article that this is non-PED related.
//interesting that it always happens before a game against the 49ers, too.
///but hey, when Browner got suspended, we went 4-0. When Irvin got suspended, we went 4-0. Let's just go and do it again.

Unless you're the 49ers. Then you get your two games for multiple DUIs and the league ignores your pot possession. If only Thurmond had been driving while high, the Seahawks could've just sent him to rehab.

BTW, 49ers without Smith: 5-0. 49ers with Smith: 1-4.

Maybe it's good to have a guy get suspended.

/yeah, they scheduled his suspension to match their "we're only playing bad teams" part of the schedule.

Not saying it is. Just interesting that it happens to come when the Seahawks have a game against the 49ers upcoming, as has every other suspension. And that the 49ers haven't had any suspensions, and Smith didn't get suspended for pot when he had multiple DUIs.

Also, how stupid is it that multiple DUIs get you two games and testing positive for pot gets you four?

Lost Thought 00: Don't smoke dope before your scheduled drug test, moron

I still remember Warren Sapp testing positive at the draft combine. Needless to say, that was just about the best thing that ever happened to the Bucs. Sapp was a near-lock for the #1 overall pick (which became Ki-Jana Carter) but slid to #12 before the Bucs wisely declared "oh my god, who the hell cares?".

Pot is legal in Washington state. The NFL needs to adjust its banned substances rules for the Seahawks and Broncos.

In any case, Thurmond is good, but Maxwell and Lane are also pretty good. And while they might have issues with the Saints, that's a home game and we have an offense again, so we still have a good shot there. And the 49ers need to worry about beating out Arizona for 2nd place in the division. Hell, with the Rams coming on strong they might end up in the basement.

But, you see, they decided it was in Smith's best interests to put him in a positive environment, which happened to be playing football games for the 49ers. So they really took the high ground there and were not at all self-serving.

Except they don't really take Adderall. The NFL doesn't say what they test positive for, so the athlete says "Adderall" so that the fans see it and think "Oh my kid takes that for ADHD. Who cares?" when in reality it was likely stanozolol.

And yes, PED use is very widespread in the NFL. If they had competent testing, every player would likely be suspended.

This right here is why nobody takes Seattle fans seriously. They have the behavior of a woman who got cheated on once and is now too paranoid to actually enjoy any relationships she gets into, no matter how loyal their partner really is.

Look, we get it: the NBA farked you over. That doesn't mean that everyone else is out to get you. STFU and enjoy the fact that your city actually has a winning team for once, otherwise you'll still be busy whining about inane shiat when the window closes and you won't actually have gotten to enjoy the ride.

Yeah, I'm sure Pete Carroll held a special meeting with Thurmond and made him smoke weed.

If NFL coaches had to move on every time they had 3 guys suspended, there would be no coaches left.

It's not Brady dude. Richard Sherman has incorpaorated the "U mad Bro" meme into his image.

He is actually pretty cool. Once a week on his facebook page people uplad images of their kids wearing his "You mad Bro"  Tshirts and then he picks the kids thought to be the cutest and he gives them all free tickets to the game.

(1) He wasn't a rookie
(2) He hadn't failed a drug test
(3) Brady talked shiat to him and he just came back to respond after the game
(4) No matter how many times you say his subsequent positive test was negated by the Ryan Braun defense, it doesn't become more true

Other than that, everything you say is spot-on. (That is, the part about you hating Sherman, which I guess is your prerogative.)

I'm sure a lot of players use stims on gameday. Drugs like Adderall help you focus. It isn't because they have ADHD. Many college students use those meds too without the disorder. Anecdotally, I've seen certain players (Urlacher and Briggs for instance) in pre-game, sideline interviews have an awkward, hurried manner of speaking. Like their brains are moving too fast and their mouths can't keep up. Maybe just pre-game jitters.

Even so.  Let's say that you're right, and Browner was taking roids.  Is that worse than Smith threatening people with a gun?  Driving drunk?  Hardly.  Harbaugh has a clear double standard, and he uses it with impunity.

Remember in the previous SEA/SF game.  This was about the time that he was complaining that the refs need to protect Kaep from getting hit on read options.  Wilson does a read option and gets absolutely plastered by a 49ers linebacker, who didn't even bother to look for the ball.  Harbaugh was just fine with that play.

Well, it matters because Browner's already injured. So now our corner opposite Sherman is Maxwell, who is good, but a month ago he was a dime guy only.

/oh damn, he was a dime guy? Guess he's getting busted soon too just for the name.

There was no academic scandal. The NCAA was buttmad about all the celebrities attending games so they decided to come down extra hard on USC for what amounted to "why don't you know about Reggie Bush's family's living situation and how it changed years after you recruited him thanks to guys that are trying to get him to leave your program?"

But hey, the perfect opportunity to get back to the NFL did happen to come around at the same time, a position that hadn't been available before, and he took it.

USC was nothing immediately before Carroll and they're still better off than they were before he got there. Only idiots say he "f*cked up" USC.
