Yes, but IQ isn't everything.

Yes? It says no one UNDER 40 understands it.

I'm not sure, if you held a gun to my head, if I'd rather listen to The Thanksgiving Song or The Christmas Shoes.

I'd probably choose a bullet to the brain.

FTFA:This is the one that first stumped me. Who on Earth is Cheryl Tiegs?

What?! WHAT?!

No, it isn't.

I'm in my mid 30's and still understand and appreciate the Thanksgiving song. But I have a feeling anyone under 30 would have a harder time appreciating it.

I prefer Weird Al's Christmas at Ground Zero.

I'm in my mid 30's but until I listened TFA, I couldn't remember it at all.

Hanaku song it is not.

A ding, a ding, a-what's that sound?
It's the gravy boat a-comin' around
It's not a Navy boat, it's the gravy boat
Filled with bravery, savory, sailor folk

I'm 30 and understood it all.

Seriously, Sandler, what is with the baby voice?

The song itself is harmless fluff, but what is with that damned baby voice? It's about as creative and comedic as the freckled-nerd with glasses in the second grade doing his "funny little croaky one who isn't anything in particular, but is such a scream" invariably topped off with a terrible impersonation of the pee-wee herman laugh.

This year the first day of Hanukkah is Thanksgiving day so we can enjoy both of Sandler's holiday songs. I'm sure Christmas 24/7 stations will be playing the Hanukkah song will into December after HAnukah is over.

I personally prefer The Lunch Lady song.

I liked Here Comes the Boom.

Is that a Sandler thing?

I still don't think I've ever heard it before. To be fair I don't think anyone under 30 remembers a time when Adam Sandler was funny. Happy Gilmore came out when I was 10.

I hope that show stays on for at a couple more seasons to see if Linda has a new song  each year.

For me, it's not officially Christmas season until I hear "Father Christmas" by The Kinks...

2013-11-25 05:24:39 PM
And no-one in their 40's thought it, or Sandler, were every funny. I cannot for the life of me recall who did, nobody ever fessed up to it among my peers, and yet the guy makes millions. Adam Sandler, America's Guiltiest Pleasure?

I'm 28. I heard it once on the radio in high school and couldn't understand why anyone would think Sandler repeating "Turkey" ad nauseum would be funny.

Yep. Charlie Brown Xmas has taught me to listen to the local college jazz station from November to January.

I don't care what you humorless too good for lowbrow humor folks think, I still loves me some old Adam Sandler. I can't deny he's lost it over the years until we end up with things like Zohan, and Jack and Jill, and That's My Boy, but his old cd's were comedy gold as far as I'm concerned.

I always preferred the goat skit on the one CD rather than the goat song that came on the one after it myself, although the line "Nervously sprayed them with shiat" from the song always cracks me up.

Loved the skit as well.
