I wouldn't smoke that shirt, dude.

Dafuq? Is there a thriving black market for potpourri fetishists in the vicinity?

Yeah, because Spice is actually "not for human consumption"

For good reason.  I smoked some salvia one time and almost cut my face off and ate it.  True story...

Does anyone really smoke that crap? my son got me a hookah, some charcoal and a couple boxes of that stuff for my birthday, I tried some and it was like smoking cool aid.

/homegrown tobacco in the thing is the best, the water cools the smoke to the perfect temperature, much better than my regular pipe

They stole some Pot-pourri?

I'll take potpourri for 5 dollars, Alex.

The alternative was following their black lab around for a week.

Can we stop calling the crap "potpourri", "spice", "k2" etc, and just start calling it what it is : "the reason prohibition has failed, and why we need to just legalize the real thing". There's far more danger posed from smoking dry herbs from whole foods soaked in unregulated synthetic chemicals than there is from smoking a chemical whose worst quality is simply keeping people glued to the couch..

I think you're talking about shisha, the blend of tobacco and fruit molasses. What they stole is bags of herbs blended with synthetic cannabinoids. They have to call it anything other than smoke, as it's illegal to market as safe for human consumption.

I'm right with you on the waterpipe being nicer than a regular pipe for tobacco, though.

You should get some Shisha to smoke. Much better than regular tobacco.

Somaticasual: worst quality

nah, the worst quality is getting the government to admit it has been wrong all along. That'd alter the nations perception for good.

from you wiki: Typical flavors of mu'assel include apple, grape, guava, lemon, mint, as well as many other fruit based mixes. Unusual flavors, including white gummy bear, blueberry muffin, and Powerbull flavor (similar to the flavor of a Red Bull energy drink), have been introduced in recent years.

I think that might be the 'Kool Aid' taste he's referring to.

Straight molasses is nicer by far.

Yea you're right, my ancient brain got the two confused. I don't see what the allure of the synthetics is though either, lets smoke a chem lab then see what happens to our brains...

I grow and cure my own tobacco, but in my line of work other smokables are always available cheap too, so resorting to rolling the dice with going cannibal just doesn't seem worth it to me

The cops found "evidence" a few blocks away, which sounds like they found some empty envelopes right where the guys stopped to smoke it. Or the empty packaging could belong to someone else in the neighborhood. You'll note they only took one pipe. Which means they took it to smoke themselves, not to resell. At three packets a day I predict a similar crime in about ninety days, give or take.

I think some of the 'allure' is that they're legal.

Some people have jobs that test them for illegal drugs. Some (miners in Australia IIRC?) even test them for any trace of alcohol consumption. If you can get "stoned" (and some of them are very similar in feel) without the worry of having it show up when you get called in for a urine sample the next day because substance is exotic and off the radar, then a lot of people will.

I don't think anyone's 'gone cannibal' from synthetic cannabinoids. "Bath-salts", a generic term for a huge number of unregulated and highly potent stimulants OTOH, they have done some nasty things to people.

Synthetic 'noids will just kill you.

Wouldn't it just be easier to inject syrup into your brain, if that's what you want to do? Same results, less hassle.

yeah, but needle exchanges are hard to come by here in Sweden... :-/

Wife works next to a tobacco shop that their main sales is of 'spice' or whatever you want to call it. It's more expensive than real herb and people line up outside until they open on a daily basis for the stuff. They have people buying hundreds of dollars worth of it at a time. The night before there was legislation passed against it, somebody broke in to the shop and just stole the fake weed. They are obviously stupid on multiple levels.

So, how much worse is it to be robbed by buglars instead of burglars, Journal Star? Your lack of detail leaves us hanging.

/Ah, LJS
//Sketchy on details in crime articles

That's why you always avoid the noid. 80s PSAs were very clear on that.
