Getting ANY pts out of RB is a miracle lately in pass happy Fubol land.

2013-11-24 08:34:34 AM
Speaking of RB's, I have a choice today between Knowshon Moreno (13 pts projected vs Pats) or DeMarco Murray (11 pts projected vs Giants). Moreno has the better projection, but he hasn't been doing well of late. Yet, I have a feeling today is going to be another "Romo Throws On Every Down" day in Dallas, so I'm torn...

Suggestions?

Cold and windy in Meadowlands.  Not too sure about a pass happy day there.

Lt. Cheese Weasel: Getting ANY pts out of RB is a miracle lately in pass happy Fubol land.

The crazy part is, my RB's have been okay.  Even got 13 points out of Pierre Thomas on Thursday.  My WR's have been the bane of my existence, though.  To the point that this week's question is "probable Emmanuel Sanders at Factory of Sadness, or questionable Eddie Royal at KC?"

\I'm well aware of my answer, and how much my answer sucks, but until the Fark Sports Tab All-Stars allows TE's to be W/R, or brings back punting/returning yardage, I'm all sorts of screwed there
\\at least Manning
\\\and Jimmy Graham, and KC's D vs Rivers

Moreno vs New England , Gore vs Wash, or Morris vs San Fran? I need two.

I that's a serious toss-up.  I like Murray only because if there is a goalline carry he'll probably get it.

FriarReb98: To the point that this week's question is "probable Emmanuel Sanders at Factory of Sadness, or questionable Eddie Royal at KC?"

I'd start Sanders since he's not facing Joe Haden

SilentStrider: Moreno vs New England , Gore vs Wash, or Morris vs San Fran? I need two.

Gore and Morris

Pick three out of 4:

Kendall Wright
Steve Smith
Brandon Marshall (no brainer
Danny Amendola

PPR?
Wright
Marshall
Amendola

Think I'd lean that way standard too.

Gore for sure. Moreno versus Morris is a crapshoot. I'd go with Mor....yea, I'm truly not sure how to finish that word. My gut says Morris versus SF. They are fair to middlin' against the run, and Morris has a better shot of getting the bulk of the carries than Moreno does with Ball now squarely in the mix.

Tough choices this week:

Big Ben@Cleveland or RG3 v SF?

I have Antonio Brown but seeing how well Haden has shutdown Megatron and AJ Green recently, I'm betting on Cotchery. Think that's wise?

2013-11-24 11:08:30 AM
Please don't use the words experts. Of the two times I've asked, the answer was always the wrong one.

Anyways, going with what's his name TB RB and lacy over le'veon

PPR?
Wright
Marshall
Amendola

Yeah, that's what I had penciled in too. PPR league, Wright has been strong lately and i'm think Amendola gets a lot of action tonight. At least someone will....

Wright and Marshall.

Smith probably has a higher floor, but lower ceiling. Amendola has dropped a few stinkers in his last few games. So I guess it depends on how many points you need out of that WR slot.

Best QB this week will be Eli, Top scoring defense will be Chargers

Ben is hot, It's not crazy to run Cotchery out there but even with the Haden effect I don't know if you should sit Brown in a PPR.

I don't like facing either the Detroit or Cleveland run game.  I do think Rainey's performance vs Atlanta is going to prove an outlier though. (Tampa should have a good day in the air too)  I think Bell might be the safer pick.

2013-11-24 11:16:22 AM
Really torn on defenses.  Grabbed Houston because they are facing Jacksonville though the Jaguars haven't been giving as many points to defenses lately, or Cleveland vs Pittsburgh.  Cleveland is projected by yahoo to get .3 more points but I had success early season going against Jacksonville.

2013-11-24 11:19:38 AM
This is a touch week for me as far as choices go.

Josh Gordon(versus Ike Taylor) over Antonio Brown(versus Haden), right?

Shane Vereen over Ray Rice(who'll likely get hammered by the Jets)?

And this last league doesn't matter as much because I'm supposed to win by 35 after he started Sproles and Gonzalez, but I'm rolling with Alshon Jeffery, Josh Gordon, and VJax and benching Garcon. Seems like the play this week, yea?

2013-11-24 11:19:41 AM
Brady is still among the top qb's but he's just not as good as he had been. Peyton, on the other hand, is just amazing after all these years. I'm hoping for a good game but I'd be shocked if the Patriots won. And I bet Peyton will have a huge night.

My usual play with defenses is to take whomever is facing the crappiest opponent. I'd take Houston. Plus, Pitt is playing a division rival, and Big Ben recently remembered how to play football again.

My own question is Keenum or Flacco. I'm leaning Keenum.

Thanks. Yes, it is PPR. My situation isnt dire since I've already clinched but there's little chance of getting a first week bye.

I can run both brown and cotchery. My other WR is Boykin with a good matchup with the Vikes. I'll go with my gut.

I like Eli this week and this isn't impossible however unlikely.  However I don't see the Chargers being top D.

I'd go Cleveland (In fact I am in daily/ one yearly league) Houston burned me when they faced the up until then toothless Rams.

INeedAName: My own question is Keenum or Flacco. I'm leaning Keenum.

FWIW, I picked up Keenum to start over RGIII this week. I'd roll Keenum out too.

I'd go with Keenum for sure. I also agree with the defensive strategy. I was able to pick-up NO this week and they got me 11, which i'm always happy with on Defense.

Gordon, Vereen, and yes you can bench Garcon with those 3 going.

Since the Jets Pass D is above average (though not elite) it's a good bet.  Just hope Keenum doesn't get pulled again.

I suppose this is the occasion to mention that in two leagues where I used the rankings of "experts" at SI and ESPN for my draft, I'm 4-7 and 5-6 respectively. The two leagues where I used my custom-made rankings, I'm 9-2 and 8-3 respectively. Go figure.

Anyways, question time:

1. Chris Ogbonnaya or Danny Woodhead?
2. Larry Fitzgerald against an average Colts defense or DeAndre Hopkins against a terrible Jags defense?
3. Kaepernick over Alex Smith, I shouldn't overthink this, right?

1. Woodhead since he's always involved
2. Fitz, talent and Keenum actually will throw to Andre Johnson
3. Kaepernick the matchup is too good.

I trust Luck.  Alex Smith has to duck when he gets up to avoid hitting his ceiling.

Detroit apparently sux against WR and the Jags are.... well they are the Jags. However, Josh Gordon always finds a way to go crazy when I sit him. Thoughts?

Dallas for upside (Eli could either throw 3 INTs or 3 TDs today imo), Browns if you want to play it safe.

You'll can't make a wrong choice. I mean obviously whoever you sit will blow it up because that's how it works, but as for the choice itself, you can't really go wrong.

It always is, it always is. I sat VJax for Gordon last week, and was pissssed when VJax put up 22.5. Then Gordon put up 18.5, so I couldn't be too mad. Just mad at Garcon for being shiatty. Of the numerous problems in fantasy football, choosing between three good receivers isn't a bad one to have. At least you don't have a mediocre 4th option in there that has a great matchup, making them worth considering too.

Since Marshawn Lynch is on bye this week, I have

- Knowshon Moreno
- Montee Ball
- Chris Ogbonnaya

I'm thinking of starting Moreno & Ball so that I'm guaranteed to get all of Denver's running yards & scores, but that's a lot of eggs in one basket, especially if Knowshon goes back to taking most of the snaps.  But is Ogbonnaya ready for primetime?
