Oh I bought the owl! I know someone who just had a child that I can pretend I'm going to give it to!

My mom thanks you for your purchase and your love of owls! My wife wants one too, so I just sent mom a message to make more stuffed owls asap. If anyone else wants an owl, just shoot her a squee message on zibbet. She makes adult hats too, but just doesn't have them listed I guess.

Have her put up some warm adult hats, I'm heading up north next month from Florida and I can't find my good wool hat.

Just messaged her about hats. She did say earlier today that she was making a bunch of new animal critters, Fox, Racoon, Bunny, Owl, and Reindeer, just hasn't posted them yet (except for the owl that you bought).

Anyone can message her directly on zibbet to get these other critters, or hats too. Super warm fleece is super warm.

Maine stuff comes with certificates? Is this to stop the bastards in Canada from pretending to produce Mainsh goods, or is it to stop the scurrilous Southeastern Whores in New Hampshire?

I know a lot of adults (including myself) who are just big kids who would kove a festive fleece hat.

/why should kids have all the fun?

Your mom is wonderful. I too adore owls. I wish, wish, WISH I could actually see one around here (in NJ). I heard some a few times, but, couldn't find them.

This is great, thanks so much for sharing her work.

I asked her to put up some more hats. Keep checking her page for new stuff! And thanks for looking!

Thanks for saying so and thanks for looking! The only owl that I have seen in real life was in downtown Athens, Georgia, it was beautiful! Mom saw one in her backyard once and took this pic:

I'm very impressed with the "Made In Maine" certification. Nothing wrong with taking pride in where you live. I suspect subby's Mom is a really sweet lady, God bless her.

/wish Wal-Mart would catch on to a little Made In America product pride and stop selling imported garbage.

I am legitimately curious:  I posted a thread about my brother who wanted to sell his comic books to help finance his brand new baby girl, and a couple long-time farkers started talking about how this isn't craigslist and people shouldn't "spam the queue trying to hawk crap."   So, where is the line drawn?  Why do some people get to promote their stuff here and others don't?  Is there a set of guidelines somewhere out there?

That's a fair question. You may want to ask a moderator. (bottom of this page on the left)

I don't work here so I don't know the 'official' answer, but I think you have to post it to FarkUs tab.

Try again and post it there. Screw the naysayers too.

You have to wrestle a moose with your bare hands, then slam a pint of maple syrup to get that certification.

I've posted a few "plug" links to the fark us tab, a couple went red, a couple went green. I try to submit them late at night when the mods are drunk.

Mom is pretty excited, by the way, to be featured on a cool website thingy like fark. She broke the good news to all of her friends via her yahoo messenger blog thingy.

That sounds as good a guideline as any on Fark.  Cheers
