Was hoping for an article on microgravity hydroponics. Instead it's foodie porn from space. So much potential for awesomness wasted.

Had also hoped for an article on explosive decompression. Puh.

New life on ISS. A sunflower sprout is now 2 days old. Another few days at this growth rate & it will need a new home

The sunflower sprout has a companion. It is a pumpkin sprout trying to break out of its shell.

It took a little help, but the sunflower finally broke free from its shell! Freedom at last.

Pumpkin growth is slowing down & leaf is drooping. Not sure if it isn't enough light or nutrients but probably both.

Well, we've got the plot for Killer Tomatoes IV:  Killer Tomatoes in Spaaaaace! then.

The franchise has returned to its roots. I recall reading that the alien from John Carpenter's Dark Star inspired the Killer Tomatoes, and now the tomatoes can return to terrorizing astronauts, as God intended.

Oh, no! The tomato has been in the refrigerator too long!

It's gone bad! It's turned Killer Tomato.

Props to wildcardjack.
